For this weeks Macro Mondays theme of "AllNatural" I first tried taking a photo of a fallen pine cone but I wasn't satisfied with the way the photo turned out so I then set about searching for flowers in the garden.

As I had photographed a Buttercup a few weeks ago I decided to use a Geranium for this weeks subject.

This week I always seemed to be fighting the macro photographers worst enemy.......wind or at least even a gentle breeze which seemed to crop up whenever I wanted to press the shutter.

From the Greek “pelargos” (stork) named for the beak of the fruit looking like that of a stork. The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology list this species as an allergy-safe pollen producing plant. Bsous, Lebanon.

Blooming on my balcony.

Geranium phaeum, commonly called dusky crane's-bill, mourning widow or black widow. Seen on my way home today. A sweet little thing, I thought.

Pink geranium just opening.

I've had a couple of visits to RHS Hyde Hall in June. These are my favourite images from the 12th and 19th. These thankfully were non-rainy days, lots of sunshine, colour and wildlife.

It is better to build our own garden and have different kinds of flowers. Sometimes it is difficult to stay near someone’s house and take picture, maybe he doesn’t like it. I started my garden flowers with a 100$ budget, and even in winter I have fresh flowers. Have great weekend!

Another Saturday Stroll at Dart's Hill Garden Park in South Surrey B.C.

This time I took both my digital and my film camera.

In many cases I took shots of a bloom using both cameras.

Not the same lens on each, but I will be interested to see how they do.

The downside of film is I now must take the roll in for processing and scanning. I intend to compare the results of the two cameras.

I am still fascinated and having fun with my Nikon F100 film camera.

It has peaked my interest in film. I think it has taught me a lot as well. I even got a new meter battery for my completely manual late 60's Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. I intend to try a few rolls of film with the Pentax. I also like the old lenses I have for the Pentax and may use them with an adapter on my other cameras.

Calabria Occidentale

I was so taken with this plant, I asked the house owner what it was called. Now I want to find one for my own garden.

Have a great day my friends!
