This is probably the last geranium for the season in my backyard.
It's a bit sad to see Summer and Fall go away.

The first photo with my new f 2.8 100 mm macro lens. I love it, and know there is lots to learn. These geraniums are blooming in my garden in San Francisco.

One of my favourite hardy geraniums which can clamber through other plants and surprise me.
A super little spreading hardy geranium. I've even mowed over it by accident and it comes back strongly.
A blue perennial cranesbill geranium set against its wonderful broad leaves. This one is "Roseanne."

This nice little wildflower in the spring woods of Ohio is Wild Geranium. It alsogoes by the name Cranesbill.
I think this is Geranium solanderi, but would appreciate ID confirmation. Seen at Ballandean on the Granite Belt in South East Queensland.

Geranium is a genus of more than 400 species of flowering annual, biennial, and perennial plants that are commonly known as the Cranesbills. The genus name is derived from the Greek, géranos, crane. The English name "Cranesbill" derives from the appearance of the fruit capsule of some of the species.
