Anse Georgette is often described as one of the two most beautiful beaches on Praslin, the other being Anse Lazio.
The incredible mix of gorgeous turquoise ocean water, pristine white sand, and incredible palm trees make for a truly jaw-dropping beach.
The incredible scenery is world-class, with few beaches elsewhere being able to claim such turquoise ocean and perfect white sand. Far from just eye-candy, however, Anse Georgette offers beautiful water for bathing or snorkelling.

I was fine. Sitting quietly here in the office, sipping on my Sweet Tangerine Positive Energy* Yogi Tea. Out of my "(Super)Girls Rule!**" mug of course.
Until Georgette had to go and post a photo all about caffeine. Which lead to me reminiscing about the lattes part of The Great Zombies and Lattes Road Trip of 2014.
Which involved multiple stops at the adorable, hipstery Moonbean cafe in Toronto's Kensington Market neighborhood.
And at least one slice of their out of this world, divine Milky Way cake. This cake. There just aren't enough words to explain how amazing this cake was. (Also the company, Georgette and Jerome, was nice too after a long day of zombie stalking.)
*Could use all the positive energy I can get this week. I really hate working around a bunch of @$$h@t$ that go out of their way to be douchebags to people because it makes them feel bigger and better about themselves.

J'ai ressorti cette photo réalisée en mai dernier pour une bonne raison : elle m'a servi pour illustrer une de mes dernières expositions photo ayant pour thème une fête de quartier dans ma ville. Cette événement avait été initiée par des riverains d'une rue de Villefranche (la rue de Thizy) et qui, par nostalgie, avait fait revivre le quartier durant une journée autour des chansons d'autrefois.
C'est là que notre Georgette (nationale) est entrée en action. Une drôle de dame connue ici pour son air jovial. Si vous la croisez dans un magasin, ne soyez pas surpris si elle se met à pousser la chansonnette de vive voix. Rien ne l'arrête. D'ailleurs une fois qu'elle est lancée, elle peut vous faire tout un récital basé sur les classiques de la chanson d'il y a 50 ans. Elle les connait toutes par coeur. Elle est étonnante.
C'est ainsi qu'à elle toute seule, elle a fait le spectacle et transformé cette journée de fête par du pur bonheur.
Pour beaucoup, c'est un peu l'illuminée de Villefranche. En réalité, tout s'illumine après son passage.
Alors merci Georgette pour votre fraicheur et joie de vivre.
