A trip to Troy to pay the cable bill ended up leading to an encounter with a surprise visitor, in the form of track geometry train W001-13. Conspicuously absent is GP40-2 6025 which had been a fixture on this train for over a decade. Not that I'm complaining; SD50 8642 looks pretty nice up front.
Walk in Aberdeen, Scotland. This is a city which I call 'home' right now. But it will never become my real home. I miss countryside where every single walk made me feel "wow". Here I feel depressed by monumental buildings, rubbish on roads, grey colors everywhere. I can't find there any piece of Scotland, of a country, which is just gorgeous. Scotland is a place which amazed me with it's nature and countryside landscapes. In Aberdeen everything is artificial, far away from wilderness. That makes me feel very sad.
Well, my photos from this place will be black and white, the way Aberdeen is.

Concentric rings of breaded calamari, resting on a grid for drying, which is atop a woven placemat, waiting to be lightly fried and then eaten along with a glass of wine(also circular, but always taken, in moderation, so that one's head does not start spinning in a circular pattern) and some baguette (linear). It was all so good, that there was no time for an alternative shot for the challenge. You will just have to believe me.
From my 'Playing with Geometry' solo show in September 2011, these prints are very limited edition, and won't be reprinted in the future.
These are three color letterpress prints, hand drawn by me, and lovingly hand fed, one by one, into a Chandler and Price press.
There are two options:
- print only: you will receive an 8 x 10 print mailed flat. ($25)
- print mounted on Plywerk base: you will receive an 8 x 10 print mounted on a Plywerk base (locally made here in Portland), with appropriate hanging orientation. ($40)
