I looked up the symbol on the web before overhearing someone describe it and then noticed also the circled AA in the window today when walking by there again. The woman I (and many others in the coffee shop) heard today told about meeting someone as clueless as I when she came out of this house one day. He had asked her if she now lived there, thinking it was her new residence she had moved to. The woman laughed and said she told the acquaintance, "Well, I do spend a lot of time here." To the man in the coffee shop who also knew nothing about this she described the symbol and where this AA Meeting House was. I was later told there are other AA Meeting Houses in Tallahassee -- it's a widespread organization that does a lot of good. I walk by this house nearly every week and for a long time thought the symbol in the front yard was only a frame or support for a missing sign, thinking the house was a business between owners and not fully moved into yet.
