This is a single Magic-Cube consits of 12 individual Pyramids. Each one connected on two sides and carrying rare-earth magnets to help stabilize the major structures. A single Cube has 36 magnets. There are 5 major shapes that will „fall into place“, meaning the magnets will pull it together and no hinge is left flexible. As a toy the Cube posesses the challenge of a Riddle to unlock the different Shapes or to find the paths of shortest movement between them. As Art it can be left Standing, or with the supplied Wallmount, be displayed as a hanging Object. The beauty of this dissection, displayed in Numbers, are the different sidelengths of a Single Pyramid. Namely: One, Sqareroot of Two and Half Squareroot of Three.

A lovely feature of the Cesky Krumlov Castle complex. This saint stands in front of buildings that have the Bohemian geometric design on the walls. The natural colours are beautiful.

A single Cube shows how the same space can form different configurations of shapes. When putting 4 together one can discover the unfolding of the cubic crystalline structure, one that is a basic and ever present building system of Nature. From the formation of Rock Salt Crystals to the arrangement of the Honeycombs in a Beehive. Again there are 5 or more major shapes that will „fall into place“. A nice add on is the possibility to explore the relationship between 2 cubes which in itself is a Full Set to explore.

Louis H. Sullivan (1856-1924)

U.S.A., 1886-1889

Colored, colorless, and opalescent glass, molded glass "jewels," cut and assembled, painted; lead came

Louis H. Sullivan is acknowledged as one of the first American proponents of modernism in architectural design. The Auditorium and Tower building was built by the firm of Adler and Sullivan between 1886 and 1899. This Romanesque Revival style building occupies a full city block and originally housed a civic opera house, hotel and offices.

This window formed the upper half of one of four interior sash windows located in the hotel lobby, behind the front desk. The opened onto a light well. All the building's stained glass windows were designed by Sullivan and fabricated by Healy and Miller in Chicago.

This window is displayed and lighted with natural light.

CLUTCH WALLET- Black- White- Gray- Stripes

I used a geometric print in white, black and gray to make this clutch wallet. The outside has circles, hearts and stars/asterisks. The inside is fully lined in a coordinating striped print. It is made from quality cotton and is interfaced for stability. It has a metal snap closure.

Painted Marble molding with Greek Key design. From the Parthenon, by Phidias. Athens, Greece, 447 BC - 438 BC. British Museum, London, England. Copyright 2017, James A. Glazier. The poor lighting, awkward angles and highly reflective and dirty glass at the British Museum make seeing anything, let alone photographing it a challenge. Ironic that many Italian museums now have much better display conditions than the British Museum.
