The central cemetery of Bochum (Friedhof Freigrafendamm) is the biggest cemetery of Bochum. He is in the Freigrafendamm street in Altenbochum a district of Bochum.
The buildings available on the cemetery, input area, management, funereal hall and crematory have originated in the time from 1935 to 1939 in the style of a national-socialist construction view. The first burial took place in April, 1935.
On the cemetery most victims of the bomb attacks on the Bochum city centre are buried during the Second World War and about 300 German soldiers. Moreover, in a special area the graves of 1720 forced laborers and female forced laborers are in Bochum.
Pretty tricky to take pictures from a moving motor-boat full of tourists. In fact, these boats are faster than they appear.
Taken a while back and just recently found, this shot was taken inside a very large (40-50 feet tall) Christmas tree made of strands of white lights at night. Located outside of the Opryland Hotel, Nashville TN, in December 2012.
Many were standing around photographing the lights. I looked around and found no ropes, fences or signage so I stepped between the strands, placed my camera against the support pole and with my Tamron 18-270 lens, took this shot. By the time I left there were 8-10 folks inside the tree taking photos.
Sometimes it just takes one to get the dancing started!
Is mathematics the language of the universe?
I find it neat that many plants (haha, but not all!) follow a mathematical rule called the "Golden Ratio" when they grow. Using this ratio (and a numbering sequence attributed to Fibonacci but known in India for hundreds of years before), each petal is able to get the maximum amount of sunlight it possibly can. Next time you see a sunflower, take a close look - its growth pattern can be described using mathematics!

The beautiful roof construction of the Liége-Guillemins train station gives a nice reflection in one of the glass elevators shafts.These elevators connect the Grand Gallery with the Platforms.

One of the modern buildings on the east side of Bristo Square at Edinburgh University (the west and north sides, thankfully, still boast lovely, old, historic structures). Not the prettiest building, but like some other bland, modern structures, it looks better shot in B&W on a bright day than it actually does to the eye.
