One of the modern buildings on the east side of Bristo Square at Edinburgh University (the west and north sides, thankfully, still boast lovely, old, historic structures). Not the prettiest building, but like some other bland, modern structures, it looks better shot in B&W on a bright day than it actually does to the eye.
Der Bahnhof Paddington ist einer der Hauptbahnhöfe von London. Er liegt im Westen des zentralen Stadtbezirks City of Westminster, an der Praed Street im Stadtteil Paddington. Der Kopfbahnhof dient seit 1838 als östliche Endstation der Great Western Main Line. Die heute bestehende Anlage stammt zu einem großen Teil aus dem Jahr 1854 und geht auf einen Entwurf von Isambard Kingdom Brunel zurück. Paddington ist der Ausgangspunkt von Zügen nach Bristol, Südwestengland und Südwales sowie in die westlichen Vororte Londons. Im Jahr 2016 nutzten 36 Millionen Eisenbahnfahrgäste den Bahnhof, hinzu kommen 50 Millionen der U-Bahn.
