Here's a sneak preview of a couple upcoming fonts. Two exciting font releases coming soon to Chank.com, collaborative work by recent graduates from MCAD & SCAD. Thanks to Tim Degner, Anne Ulku & Carla Zetina-Ygelsias for helping to make some neat new fonts.

One is a casual, hand-drawn display type inspired by plaid (tartan) textiles and hipsters. The other is a revival based on a 1940s type specimen that also has a bit of an 80s retro flavor to it. The two new typefaces were drawn by Tim and fontified by Annie & Carla.

Just a couple of ducks in the water, but i love how that back part is. I didn't even notice it as i was taking a pic' of it. lolz

I kept it relativly simple. Geometric. Grey thread with hints of aqua and copper carried through the background.

Another shot of the Champlain Bridge in Montreal. Converted to B&W with minimal contrast work to highlight all the gorgeous angles. Man, I love the patterns in this construction... who THINKS of stuff like that?
