( MEANS FREE ) ALL THAT IS REQUIRED IS YOU GIVE ARTGRAFX CREDIT FOR CREATING THE ORIGINAL IMAGE. ( ATTRIBUTION PART )
All wallpaper images will be 1920 x 1200 @ 72 dpi.
I have tried to eliminate any duplicates but I am running ragged. Plan to upload in excess of 20000 of these rascals.
Download as many as you want. It is not required but. It would be nice to offer a fav or comment.
If you find any duplicate wallpapers between hour two sections on Flickr, any of our wallpaper images will revert to Creative Commons with attribution. In the very near future, I will delete any of our wallpapers from our original section on Flickr.

The futuristic and simple geometric architecture of the Innoventions building is timeless in comparison to what is inside the building.
I had so much fun making this scrappytripalong! The only rule I tried to follow was that a red fabric went down the diagonal. When I did my layout of blocks I made sure that three red corners met always...so much fun!

I made no adjustments to this shot as far as contrast of levels. In that respect, it is raw (not RAW) from the camera. I did clone out some branches in the extreme lower left corner of the shot just to give it some more visual appeal, so ignore that sector when you evaluate this image for purple fringe.
This is the same tower, the same hour, the same lens, and the same camera as "Osprey with Fringe." www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/1198936287/ I am aimed just above the treetops, though, instead of nearly straight up into the sky. The sun is over my right shoulder at 5:17 PM, Eastern Daylight Time, USA. You may be able to judge the sun position from the slight difference in the shadows on the steel on the left and right half of the image.
Click "All sizes" and then "Original" to clearly see the fringe. Start at the upper left corner and scroll to the right. Go down one click and go back to the left. Continue this until you have visually scanned the whole picture. Except for the lower left corner, do you see a pattern? I think I do. The farther to go from the center of the image, the greater the incidence of fringing. Not only that, but the fringing seems to always "face" the center. It is on the opposite sides of the steel on each side of the picture, even though the light source for noth sides is obviously the same. The contrast that creates the fringe comes from the sky behind the tower and not the light source, anyhow.
If you draw an imaginary x-y graph intersecting at dead center of the image, you will see that the fringe tends to appear closer to dead center. If the steel is oriented in such a way that this is not possible, then the fringe will appear on the side of the steel that is closer to the x-axis, whether it is above or below the x-axis. (The x-axis is the one parallel to the bottom of the picture.)
I would say that the fringe is radially arranged and oriented towards the center of the frame.
How can we use this information?
Perhaps it would be helpful to know where to expect the worst problems with fringe in the image so that we can plan ahead. Take a bit wider shot than you desire for the final result and crop away the worst portions, which would amount to a band of about 10% of the height or width of the frame, all the way around. In a 10 MP image of 3872 x 2592 pixels, you would crop off about 380-400 pixels from top and bottom and 250-270 pixels from each side. The resulting image would be about 3100 x 2100 pixels or 6.5 MP of a 10 MP shot.

Here is the geometric construction of the numbers on the 9x13cm Photo Frame. Note the intersection points. The rectangle is 9x13cm which is the size the numbers are describing. There are 6 even divisions horizontally of 1.5cms. This is the same size square that works vertically. The large circle is 9cm and the smaller circle is 6cm. The smaller circle is centred vertically on the larger. The angles are at 45 degrees. The gap between the 1 and the three is derived from the intersection point between the horizontal 1 and the angle of the 9 where the stroke intersects with the circle. You can keep on finding intersection points if you look. Intersections are the magic of geometric constructions. Artists and designers from all cultures around the world have been fascinated by this for centuries. I think it is one example of a unifying factor of the human race.
