Geographically, the Caribbean island of Dominica is distinctive in many ways. The country has one of the most rugged landscapes in the Caribbean, covered by a largely unexploited, multi-layered rain forest. It is also among the Earth's most rain-drenched lands, and the water runoff forms cascading rivers and natural pools. The island, home to rare species of wildlife, is considered by many as a beautiful, unspoiled tropical preserve. According to a popular West Indian belief, Dominica is the only New World territory that Columbus would still recognise.

This is too personal. I'm not naked. Be strictly an artist and not a creep. If that happens I'll make this friends restricted and you will be blocked.

Yes, I'm reading National Geographic upside down. No, I'm not actually smoking. It's March 1968 edition. We have so many editions, you wouldn't believe.

I'm probably the only contact you have on flickr which finds it hard to use square pictures. How was your weekend my friends?

Found this wonderful 1939 National Geographic photo taken on the New Mexico border by Luis Marden. Note the single taillight on this car. It is difficult to read the brand name on the hubcap of the spare when I look at the photo I downloaded in 1920x1057 size, but it could start with D. So, a Dodge maybe? But the car looks too modest to be a Dodge.
