... for the plaintiff, Draco Malfoy, at today's Mock Trial with Harmony in IU's School of Law. Josie dressed the part and churned her brain hard and was slow to spit out her questions (I told her she should have them written down), but she was excellent at showing the plaintiff was physically and emotionally scarred for life after being hit with a book in his "perfect" nose by the short-tempered Miss Hermione Granger. Still, Granger was acquitted of all charges on the basis of self-defense -- NOT that the defense REALLY proved such a thing. The whole jury (of five 11-year-olds) based their decision upon assumptions and prior knowledge. They have all read the books! Total mistrial. Draco was misunderstood.

Lenin April 22 Having decided to drive in the morning to the places where the memory remained in stone about a person who changed the course of history in St. Petersburg/Leningrad .I was surprised to find no place for a car. On the central square named after Lenin, parking was limited .... I headed to the Petrograd side, where Ilyich Street too. But driving past the Aurora cruiser, I decided to listen to my inner voice ... I got out of the car and found myself in a festive atmosphere! The sun, boats, the voices of tourists, and even a fisherman! But by the main frame of the day I was not ready yet ... It took almost an hour to talk, before I heard a word that could be understood in all languages! "Genius" Dropping his eyes from the sky down suddenly realized the moment! History in photographs is a subject worth observing .. 圣彼得堡

Taking pictures a tool (camera), not a photographer.

The choice of tool limits the possibilities.

Experience allows him (instrument) less and less to limit their capabilities.

The ability to see is given only when the observer allows ...

The moment of observation is the real find ...

Training and mastering it defies. Training leads to poor imitations of the original.

Often the result should ripen, like wine. Although time is the understanding of the mind, therefore it is very speculative.

The meaning of all this is the process!

The spirt of the place, or at least one of them hidden in the vividly hued stained glass windows in St Mary Redcliff church. Pleased with the shallow depth of field. It is something that I am not used to, and that the new lens seems to excel in.

Old Lucketts Store in Loudoun County Virginia

Managed to salvage a hand full of photos from my old hard drive. Small possibility that the old hard drive with PS might be saved! My son is working on it.

Meanwhile, enjoy this photo of my genius friend's library!

I will be busy this week, I will catch up with you later...Wish you all a great week ahead...roy

Had an hour or so to spare before the boat left for Skomer so I sent Dai the Drone out to take a look at this tanker moored a couple of kilometres off the shore in St Brides Bay.

Für das Genius Loci am WE

Exactly 10 days ago, I took this photograph. I was awe-struck then, and I still am, today.

Visiting and experiencing the Jean Paul Getty Center in Los Angeles was an extremely fun and enjoyable day for me! If I was like a kid again when I saw Disneyland, here at the Getty Center, I was a schoolboy once more. Brimming with amazement and delight to the magnificent collection of works of the stellar talents that ever existed in this world, in this lifetime! It was really huge for me to see and linger about the works of my artistic idols ~ Van Gogh, Paul Gaugin, Marc Chagall, Degas, Maillol, et al, et al, et al! I felt like a dwarf amongst the best artistic minds in the universe. Whew!

But, what added to my excitement was the fact that I was there with my family (Cara loved the fountains and ponds, she actually tried to wade in one!) and with two of my respected and cherished flickr friends! Ate Zeetz Jones and Virginia! Two of Flicker's geniuses!

Thank you, Ate Z, and V, for taking us to this awesome magical place!

(Behind-the-scene: We were waiting for the tram that would take us back down to the parking lot. I was chimping and poring over the photos I took when I wandered my eyes about. Looking up, I saw how blue the skies remained. And then I saw this beautiful architectural view. 'How the perfectly azure skies was framed right on it! I was reminded of those "Salem" cigarettes commercials. *Snap!*).
