pour commander au jour et à la nuit, pour séparer la lumière des ténèbres. Et Dieu vit que cela était bon.
Lightning at the summit of Haleakala. Moonlight and taillights of a vehicle helped to light the scene.
Sunset on the first day of the Maui trip on Keawakapu Beach. It left the undeniable impression on me that Maui's sunsets could very well rival Wakanda for the best on earth.
When I think about this shot though, I can't help but think of Genesis 1 as it conjures up so many phrases regarding the first three days of the creation narrative. The Spirit hovering over the waters as the tide shimmers. The declaration of "Let there be light," as the sun begins to dip below the horizon and colors explode on the clouds. Separation of the waters with the horizon line between the sky and the sea. And lastly the contrast of the ocean from the rocky foreground that is land that looks as if it just primitively formed.
Maui is truly a magical place that only gets better the further you get in the story.
