Ferdig tusjet side, mangler tekst og gråtoner.

I made a matching, vented enclosure for my little Honda EU2000i generator.

This generator is very quiet and is even more quiet inside an enclosure. I also bolted this enclosure to the playa, using the same method as I used for the main enclosure.

The enclosure was located 50 ft from the project and connected by a buried extension cord. That was far enough to make power to the project completely silent.

I programmed a timer to give the project a 5-minute rest every hour, to allow it to cool off, and to shut off power to the project at sunrise every day.

A full load generator test at work. The autothrottle was sticking so there's three attempts to start, and the UPS is complaining about the frequency regulation

This generator is used to power the Hoover Dam's personal electricity needs.

In the Kyiv, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society handed over 35 generators to Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railway company) for uninterrupted operation of the country's railway stations in conditions of full-scale war.

Maintainence crews deliver more generators at Deshler, any lineside signal box or corrsing gate had one.

The transfer switch in on the right side. I put the plug in the switch for now. If I use it enough I will buy some romex and put an outside plug in but I can run the cord down to the basement for now.

A generator band, playing loud, thrashy music, set up about 20 feet from the stage where Elbel and company were playing acoustic stuff.

They really scaled back the generator bands this year. :-)

Altamont Pass (east of San Francisco) has many of the 14,000 wind generators in California. In 2004, wind energy produced 4,258 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, more than enough to light San Francisco. These were shot while driving over the pass, one-handed.

The Paddock was a backup site for the Cabinet War Rooms in Whitehall. Now situated under a modern housing estate, it is opened twice a year to the public, allowing us to visit it on 16th September 2006 as part of London Open House weekend.

After the war, parts the bunker were used as a social club for Post Office workers from the neighbouring researh laboratories. Some of the features may date from this era. After this, it was left abandoned for decades, until it wsa reopened and made safe by the developers who built the estate.
