I originally titled this image 'Alternator', but that was wrong. This vintage 8N had a 6-volt positive ground electrical system powered by a generator. What's the difference? Well, a generator produces Direct Current, whereas an alternator produces Alternating Current. There are other differences, and they all add up to the fact that in most automotive applications the alternator is a better fit.

"Good evening dear guests of our lovely hotel. We would like to inform you that the best thong to do now is just to go to bed, because our generator is running out of diesel. In about ten minutes from now, the whole hotel will be out of power."
These wind generator blades are 140 feet long. The total length of the rig including the tractor trailer and the blade is 166 feet lone. Each Blade weighs 16,000 pounds. The rear wheels are turned using a remote control.

Product Introduction:
1.For recreational needs (like: camping), the outdoor homework or the emergency power, This HEYA inverter generator can be workable.
2.High performance: The built in Digital Inverter can offer stable and clean power that means sine wave. You can safely power and charge some sensitive.electronics, such as your computers, video game systems, phones and TVs.
4.Low noise: Fully-enclosed structure design decreases sharply the noise of the machine.
5.Light weight: The volume and weight of HEYA inverter generator reduces 40%-50% of the traditional one. With the small compact design, it is convenient and easy for user to take power anywhere and store it in any tight spot.
6.High efficiency: The starting system is recoil, well it is very easy to operation, at the same time, and the engine comes with a smart throttle that can control the engine output based on power demand. Therefore, we can save fuel and reduce consumption. It is so good for the environmental protection.
Basic functions:
Low oil alert
Overload protection
Short circuit protection

Oscilloscope displaying waves from the Korg MS2000r. The sound is coming from the yellow ended BNC to BNC cable. On the other end, there is an adaptor I made. A BNC plug on a length of stiff Co-Axial cable that I soldered into the back of a Jack plug. Most suitable for signal injection of acquisition!
2 NES consoles (working) to support and uplift the stuff to a level where the knobs are better levelled, and the scope screen is at closer to eye level.
This is the back-up generator for KATC, in Lafayette, LA. It was originally used for remote broadcasts in the 60's, today it's the station's stand-by if they lose power. Yeah, I wouldn't trust it either
While technically not a sign, with its aged logo and overall condition, I figured...close enough.
By the way, thanks for a great week guys!

There are now lights and a small refrigerator on the coffee farm at Rio Negro. Abilio has spent many hours getting wet working to channel the power of the river through thousands of feet of pipes to turn a turbine that in turn powers a generator. He of course had to show Guillermo how it works and they tinkered with it to make a few improvements.
