Noisefold concert at University of North Texas Feb. 14 and 15, 2011 in the MEIT (Merril Ellis Intermedia Theater)

 

NoiseFold is a live cinema and electronic music ensemble founded by artist-performers, David Stout and Cory Metcalf ( www.noisefold.com )

 

David Bithell (trumpet and computer) and Andrew May (violin and computer) joined Stout and Metcalf for this special performance. Bithell and May are both professors of composition at UNT.

Live visuals made with processing. wormy thingy with

sound reactive colors. It was the first attempt to get

sound reacting working in linux using PD to analyse the signal and send it via osc to processing. Unfortunatelly it isn't as precise i i was expecting... one day i'll get it right... one day i'll...

A generative typography using particles, edge detection, grid tiling, binary coding and SVG modules.

I was playing around with the cycloid fomula and tweeked it with all the trigonometry I know ;-) . It's a simple particle system, drawing points, lines or curves.

This is one instance of one species of Sphere Trees. I developed the grammar and parser library for these.
