im starting to use the open source software processing (processing.org) to create images. its a lot of fun.

this was a real accident. i tried to add some rounded shapes, and this came out. i like it though. looks kinda asiatic?

A generative typeface created using autonomous agents, grid setup, and separation + target behaviour.

The connections are printed in 3D-printer. For the construction of the prototype and the final "forest" wooden sticks were used.

Script in Eclipse-Java: Load an image and depending on the brightness of the pixels, "trees" are created. The result is a generative and parametric "forest". The "trees" consist of nodes in different levels which are connected with edges with same length. Each tree is connected to the closest tree at the last level of nodes.

I like where I'm heading with these last 2 pieces. I'm having more and more fun with this, and the results are getting better.

I want a big piece to print on canvas (2 meters by 60 centimeters, or something like that) to hang on the wall in my living room.

I don't think this is good enough to be printed yet... but I think I'm getting closer.

Evolution of a circular network periodically disturbed by repulsive forces

My boss ordered 2 of my generative art pieces on canvas (2 by 1 meter), to hang on the wall in our office.

They arrived a couple of days ago. I like how they turned out.
