It’s hard to believe that this girl was released 20 years ago! However, she is still one of my favorite dolls. And now that I’ve had the chance to put her head on a pivotal body, she’s made even better.

She has the Generation Girl Barbie head mold, which I've never been a huge fan of, but lately I'm discovering a lot of lovelies made with it.
Her head is adequately small. It was the last years before they went with big heads, beginning with the Fashion Fever line, in about 2004. Being a budget doll, her legs are straight, non bendable.
Her dress exists in a least 4 fabrics variations. It has tinsels woven into the fabric, which give the shiny effect. I much prefer tinsels over glitters because I hate having glitters spread all over the place (by the way kids swallow glitters all the time when they play with glittery items!!).
I have a drawer full of Barbie glitter dresses that I never open, I just put them all in there and never touch them. I hate glitters. It should be forbidden.
And yes, a cardboard handbag was very chic back in 2002.

I don't always (ever) return my doll's heads to their rightful bodies, so I just throw them into a storage container until I use them again.
Does anyone have better solution as to how to store my heads? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Dia

A lot of people were inspired by Jeremy Scott's Moschino Spring show, and have been dressing their dolls in pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we are also supportive of that as well.
The Lara facemold is my 2nd favorite face from Mattel. It was first used by Generation Girls Lara Morelli-Strauss, who was from Paris, France and Ana Suarez who was from Mexico, in 1999.
There are a few more that I want to add, then I'm all done with Lara........ for now.........

"I Don't Care If It's Right," says disco-fied Adele Makeda, "but I Love The Nightlife! I wanna put on my Boogie Shoes and Shake my Groove Thing!"
(can you tell I watched the film 'The Secret Disco Revolution' and have subsequently been listening to Disco music all day?)

Wonder Woman: As we approach the Queen, is she faring well, Vice-Regent? If the great pressure of all of this is too much we can save more unsavory discussion points for another time.
Snow White: She fares well, Princess, as always. She welcomes the opportunity to end all of this.
Batman: (thinking) I'll see how settled she is. Most of the powerhouses are absent. Just the two knights, but they're expected to be with the Queen. Where are the others and what are they up to?

Her left printed eye (on our right side) doesn't seem to be matching up with her sculpted eye. Are they all like this?
I'm also really not a fan of this printing technique. I didn't like the dots on IT dolls and I don't like it on Barbie either. I think the lips are especially gross looking lol.

Just like I do at the beginning of every year, lots of dolls are going through changes and it's been lots of fun so far. Since the original Batgirl became Poison Ivy, I had to find one I thought was a good fit for Barbara Gordon. I wanted a fun and exciting one, and Ireland Barbie fit her perfectly. Funnily enough, Supergirl also has a head from the DOTW line. It's like Mattel made them just for me lol! She was near perfect but came with amber brown eyes instead of Barbara's blue eyes, but that was easily fixed with some paint. She looks a million times better with her new face and hair instead of the odd face Mattel went with. This DC girls project has been super fun, and after years of them being in box and not having the satisfaction to fix them to my desire, I think they are better off like this. Wonder Woman is also in modification since I have never like her face either. Luckily for Black Canary, I think she is good to go without any changing. I totally see Batgirl's character and personality in her now and I don't know why i didn't do this sooner!
My version of Barbie and her friends then.

Asuka: Oh, thank you! Thank you!
Alice: Just... see to those little troublemakers!
Snow White: Oh, my, what an excitement! Shall we return, my Queen?
Lara: You were totally merciful, Queen Alice!
Jaqui: Yep!
Snow White: You two hush, and run along.
Wonder Woman: (low tones) What did you do to Asuka to cause all this? I didn't even know you knew her.
Batman: (low tones) No idea. I just met her in the cabin.
Wonder Woman: (low tones) Mm-hm. "Met" her. You probably scared her.*
Batman: Hrn.

He did! In issue 338!
- Anya (Shoe Obsession): she's better than I thought. Her face is so unique. The dress is a two pieces outif, which is really great to mix and match.
- Erin (Pink in Pantone): absolutely iconic. The dress is hard to tame, but the hair and shoes are fabulous.
- Ondrei (Princess of South Africa): I was very lucky to find her on a muse body (which I think is from Nichelle Urban Hipster). She came without the original outfit. Love her dark skintone.
- Zee (Monsieur Z Flaunt It!): currently serving as body donor for SIS Chandra. The dress is killer!
- Alvin (Alvin Ailey): such a dolly dream! I want her so badly and for so long, and she is flawless!

Busy mom, model, reality show host and spokesperson, Heidi Klum, takes a break from her busy schedule to vacation with her children.
*I'm sure that Heidi's children are much bigger than this, but I'm working with what I have! LOL!! ;)
Pretty much my default look from November til April- a coat, scarf, knit hat, and a GIGANTIC cup of pipin' hot coffee. I am not a fan of the Winter. Apparently, neither is Blaine.
