Gender-based violence, already a global crisis before the pandemic, has intensified since the outbreak of COVID-19. Lockdowns and other mobility restrictions have left many women trapped with their abusers, isolated from social contact and support networks. Increased economic precarity has further limited many women’s ability to leave abusive situations. COVID-driven economic and social instability will also heighten the risk of child marriage, female genital mutilation and human trafficking, 5.7% of adults aged 16 to 59 years experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2022.

This isn't him you know it

But the bruises feel the same

The stomach leaves unspoken

but you can feel the rain

when you've

had enough he knows it

he breaks you down again

and all your feelings hopeless

when you

you trying to find the end

but it's

not your fault

when he breaks your heart

don't wait

your not broken

your heart still beats

the door still opens

don't wait to walk away

your worth

more than he let's you see

and people start to notice

then he

he promises to change

but it

It's not your fault

and it's never been your fault

a promise that is broken

tell me time again

don't wait

your not broken

your heart still beats

the door still opens

don't wait to walk away

your worth

more than he let's you see

don't wait

your not broken

and don't wait

your not broken

and don't wait

your not broken

you never did deserve it

don't you ever take the blame

for the life he has stolen

now your

an angle Heven gained

don't wait

Determining the gender of a small- to medium-sized alligator usually entails a wrestling match, a flip, and a close inspection. This young male eliminated all doubt by exposing himself while preparing to fertilize a mudflat on Horsepen Bayou as a scandalized Snowy Egret (and kayaker) looks on.

This picture is a bit different to my usual, this is a more personal picture. For a very long time I have struggled with my own gender, recently I accepted that I am gender fluid. I enjoy boyish and girlish things, clothes and activities. So for anyone else out there that may be struggling with this as well, know that it is ok and you are not alone. People either accept you for who you are, or they are not worthy of being in your life! Its ok to be different! Just be yourself \o/. After so many years of being confused and scared, I have finally accepted myself as gender fluid, and this picture is to officially accept myself. I am not a boy, I am not a girl, I am me. Just me.

Yes, it's a bit overdone, I know, but it was fun

Food for thought, a really interesting article in the New York Times with big and true questions, an interesting read!

The hijras of India represent a third gender role in India. Not men, not women, they contain elements of both. As devotees of the Mother Goddess Bahuchara Mata, they flock to Haridwar and to holy places of India as all Indians do.

Nach der griechischen Mythologie war dies der Name einer phönizischen Königstochter, altgriechisch Εὐρώπη, die Zeus in Stiergestalt schwimmend nach Kreta entführte und dort verführte.

Not too many of these in my neck of the woods. Not sure what to make of the fact that you have to go up to the fourth floor to use it, but I made it worth my while.

Not being especially familiar with the new world of gender reveals, I didn't really get what the white cake was for. Only when it was explained to me did I understand that our third grandchild was going to be the first girl. Quite the birthday present for me! Little baby Layla has since made her presence known of course, and is just as sweet as the cake.

I know I would have been one of the first to test it.

A gendèr is a type of metallophone used in Balinese and Javanese gamelan music. It consists of 10 to 14 tuned metal bars suspended over a tuned resonator of bamboo or metal, which are tapped with a mallet made of wooden disks (Bali) or a padded wooden disk (java)

Who says you have to be a girl or a boy, why can't you be both like the seven people you see here. On this occasion we are all women enjoying each others company and harming nobody in the process. I like to think the world is becoming less judgemental and that a scene like this can become more common place.
