Due vecchi ciliegi sorgono, isolati, al centro di una radura forestale prealpina. Le loro fioriture hanno consentito a milioni di api di bottinare e i loro frutti hanno nutrito tordi, cesene e merli a migliaia. La cupa foresta di peccio che circonda la radura sembra essersi fermata, al cospetto della loro semplice bellezza; per non rubare loro la luce, che nella primavera, consente ai due ciliegi gemelli, di cantare ..... ..

Salendo alla Weissmies 4017 m dal versante nord si percorre una via esclusivamente glaciale sul tormentato Triftgletscher.
Dalla vetta è visibile a sinistra l’affilata cresta rocciosa che la collega al gemello Lagginhorn 4010 m , raggiungibile invece in piena estate dal versante sud e poi dalla cresta ovest senza praticamente toccare neve.
A destra l’aerea cresta, nevosa solo nella parte finale, che sale dallo Zwischbergenpass, oltre il quale si nota l’aguzza sagoma del pizzo Andolla o Portjengrat 3657 m.

Willkommen im Neuen Jahr und in der West-City in Charlottenburg. Am Breitscheidplatz stehen die Zwillingshochhäuser Upper West mit 119 mtr. hoch gegenüber das Zoofenster 118,8 mtr hoch. Die Zwillinge habe ich mit meinem neuen Weitwinkel aufgenommen. Ein Objektiv das mir sehr gefällt.

Welkom in het nieuwe jaar en de West-Stad in Charlottenburg. Op Breitscheidplatz de tweelingtorens Upper West met 119 mtr. hoog tegenover de Zoofenster 118,8 mtr hoog. De tweeling die ik heb genomen met mijn nieuwe groothoek. Een lens die ik erg leuk vind.

I Pitons sono due formazioni vulcaniche che costituiscono un Patrimonio dell'Umanità nello stato di Santa Lucia. Il Gros Piton è alto 770 metri, mentre il Petit Piton è di 743 metri. I due Piton sono collegati da una frattura nel terreno chiamata Piton Mitan da cui fuoriesce lava.
Si trovano nei pressi delle città di Soufrière e Choiseul sulla costa sud-occidentale dell'isola.
The Pitons are two volcanic plugs in a World Heritage Site in Saint Lucia. The Gros Piton is 771 m, and the Petit Piton is 743 m high; they are linked by the Piton Mitan ridge.
The Pitons are located near the towns of Soufrière and Choiseul on the southwestern coast of the island.
Situated at the top the Piton Mitan ridge is the Ladera Hotel, offering a stunning view over Piton bay.

My son was walking on the mountain path above Lake Gemelli in Brembana valley, Orobie Alps, Italy.
Yesterday the weather (and generally in this summer) was uncertain, with many clouds and fogs.
On June 1, 2024, in Piazza Brembana in the province of Bergamo, I won the first prize in the 2024 edition of the "Discreet Elegance of a Valley" competition with this shot that I hope you like.
The jury's beautiful words:
"The sunset's glare floods the sky, mountains, and forests with diaphanous light; the four elements: earth, air, water, and fire, blend into a single, harmonious picture that evokes sensations of discreet elegance..."
The photo was taken on the evening of July 25, 2023, from a window of a guesthouse at the "Rifugio Laghi Gemelli" after a violent hailstorm... The rain was about to ease, but in the meantime, the sun was piercing the sky, setting in between the clouds.
The competition is an event organized by the Valle Brembana "Felice Riceputi" Historical Cultural Center to commemorate Marco Fusco, a native of Piazza Brembana and a lover of the Brembana Valley.
With this initiative, the Historical Cultural Center aims to help raise awareness and promote unusual aspects of the Brembana Valley: elements of particular environmental significance and formal beauty, glimpses of life, social relationships, and moments of industriousness.
The competition is organized by the Historical Cultural Center in collaboration with "Fotografi Brembani".
This photo, along with 29 others (also selected by the jury), was exhibited throughout the summer of 2024 in various exhibitions in various towns in the Brembana Valley.
It was published in June 2024 in Valle Brembana Magazine and on its website vallebrembanaweb.com. In November 2024, it was included in the book 'Quaderni Brembani 23', 2025 edition.
It also appeared in the newspaper L'Eco di Bergamo and on TV on the Bergamo TV channel.
