Dublin Bus Ringsend Garage AV 398 looking very smart & without its adframes operating a northbound 15 to Clongriffin.
AV 398 started out in Donnybrook Garage in coastal tours livery, operating the north & south coast day tours, then usually allocated to route 11 in between.
AV 398 was the only Dublin Bus B7 to be fitted with a 4 speed voith gearbox unlike the rest of fleet with 5 speed ZF ecomat.
It would end it days at Ringsend before passing to :

As mayhem spread across the desolate planet Pandora, legends of the fabled Vault compelled droves of would-be adventurers and treasure hunters to make an attempt at striking it rich. Out of the overwhelming majority who met a variety of violent ends, a select few nailed themselves into the pages of history. Among these few is Lilith, a young woman who joined the first four successful Vault Hunters in their campaign for fortune amid the chaos. Hailing from the planet Dionysus, Lilith is one of six human women in the galaxy who was born with mysterious psychic abilities passed down from an ancient spacefaring civilization, better known simply as a "Siren." As her time on Pandora continued with more friends, allies, and enemies passing through her lived experiences, Lilith's latent powers continued to expand. They soon grew to such an extent that certain populations of marauders and raiders began to worship her as a deity, helped by her choice of pseudonym when she went into hiding for a brief window of time: the Firehawk. By the time a new band of Vault Hunters arrived on the planet and got entangled in their own adventure, they sought out the Firehawk for aid in their battles against their foes. In a remarkable display of mystical powers, Lilith emerged from hiding, wreathed in flames manifested from her own inner will. Revealing herself to the six new Vault Hunters and returning to the fight for Pandora, Lilith had but one remark to proclaim her anticipated return to change the tides of the galaxy's future:
"Sup."
February 13 marks the 10th anniversary of the much scorned Aliens Colonial Marines.
Logically, I should have hated it as well after all the hype, but near the time of release I tried avoiding trailers & footage as much as possible, so the "false advertisements" escaped me upon first playing it.
I don't think the game is anywhere near as bad as its reputation, & it did get things right that I've always wanted in an Aliens game that previous games never bothered to even do.
Firstly, it was refreshing for once to be part of a marine team, not to be solo constantly & having your other marines with you killed instantly, like in the Aliens Vs Predator games, which I got utterly sick of (I hate the cross over concept as well, because Predator is not that great of a film).
The marine & alien A.I. wasn't that bad. I usually played it on the hardest difficulty in the dark, & I have played games with worse A.I.
There have been times where my A.I marine team have helped me, & the Lurker aliens were actually quite scary with how fast they are, especially with how dark certain areas are.
I liked having a motion tracker as an item to equip, instead of a generic radar (Alien Isolation showed the idea works).
Visually, the game did match the look of Cameron's film, such as in this screenshot with the blueish hue & the rain effect.
The movie locations perfectly capture the mood & essence of Cameron's film, such as the first time entering the remains of Hadley's Hope, there is a near quiet musical cue from the films.
Colonial Marines also had playable movie characters. Hicks, Hudson, Apone & Drake. All of which had likenesses, & with the exception of Hudson, had the original actors doing voice work. Bill Paxton was too busy, but the actor they did get for Hudson was a perfect imitation.
I don't think the game is perfect, but it came closer (for me), to capturing the feel of Cameron's film far more than any of the AvP games, or even the recent Fire Team Elite (which is more of a Ridley Scott love fest with so much prequel inspired crap).
An infamous glitch Colonial Marines gets ragged on is Aliens getting stuck in the environment. I didn't encounter that often, & that is a glitch that is way more frequent on the 1999/2000 game Aliens Vs Predator (which was scary at the time, but is now obnoxious & has aged horribly), & even in Aliens Fire Team Elite.
In Aliens FTE, when this glitch occurs, you can't even proceed to the next stage in the level until all aliens have been dealt with, so when this glitch happens, sometimes you can get them to show up, but if you can't, you then have to quit the game (FTE is also more buggy in general than Colonial Marines ever was).
With the amount of minor details Colonial Marines got right, which made it more immersive for me, I was able to put up with the problems with the game.
Fire Team Elite is too much prequel inspired, so I find the game rather insufferable at times.
I quite liked Colonial Marines, but I've never supported Gearbox Software since after they handled the game.

Breaking away from her regular routine of leading the band of treasure hunting adventurers known as the Crimson Raiders, resident Siren and former Vault Hunter Lilith takes a moment to capture herself living in the moment. The improvised mural of stickers appeared to be a cute little vista to Lilith, moments before the sudden interruption of the enthusiastic, albeit often badgering, Claptrap...
My friend made up his own character from one of his favorite games and naturally, he had me do the mask! Im pretty proud how it turned out. Reference images:

"Move with the wind, and you will never be heard."
Years after his collaboration with his fellow Vault Hunters on the hostile world of Pandora, the assassin-for-hire known only as "Zer0" found himself returning to his regular profession of "political killings and common hits." Zer0 is pickier than the average bounty hunter, however. His technological sophistication - combined with his skills with projectile and edged weapons - has since compelled him to only accept jobs to hunt for the exceptional few that he considers to be "worthy of his skills."
It was such a job that drew Zer0 to Earth, searching for a mysterious warrior with his own reputation for destroying his enemies in a multitude of silent interludes. Unbeknownst to this off-world assassin, his target was a man who has spent almost his entire adult life intertwining the fighting of hands, blades, and firearms into its own form of combative art. Zer0 was so confident in the capabilities of his helmet's built-in rangefinder that he figured that he wouldn't have to look that far to find his target. That confidence overruled a foundational rule of situational awareness: "keep your head on a swivel..."

Now Playing: Aliens Infestation (2011)
Aliens:Infestation is a side-scrolling action/adventure game developed by WayForward & Gearbox Software and published by SEGA.
As of late, I've been on an Aliens fix. Friends that had noticed my current run for Aliens had recommended that I pick up a few Alien titles. Aliens:Infestation was one of the titles that had caught my attention. As a game that had been released last year, the cost of a new copy had dropped quite a bit; also, I had store-credit so I practically got this copy for FREE.
I won't sum up the games' concept of its' story in five sentences like my Alan Wake post because I haven't finished this yet; but I will tell you, I am enjoying this DS title.
Everyone that had tried to help me understand Aliens:Infestation had compared it to the classic Metroid and Contra games. In the 90s, I had grew up more along with SEGA rather than Nintendo; therefore, it was a bit hard for me to grasp the idea of the two classic titles. So then I did my research and discovered that Infestation was quite similar to the Aliens 3 game on the Genesis (a game that I can definitely recall).
Aliens:Infestation is a single-player, side scrolling, action/adventure game that will require the player to jump, climb, crawl and shoot through stages (infested with xenomorphs and killer robots) to reach the objective destination on your map. You start off as a space-marine named Cameron who is joined by three other soldiers (to whom you can select and play as, as well). After playing through the first level and encountering your first boss (which I must mention can be quite a difficult boss battle), you will realize that your four Space-Marines are all expendable characters. What is unique about this DS title (aside from the blood, guts and silly cursing), is that if one of your Marines die; you will NOT see that Marine EVER again. *Queue The Classic Bill Paxton Quote* The dead Marine will be replaced with another one of your three remaining Marines. On the good side, you will find Soldiers throughout the levels that you will be able to recruit allowing the player the chance to replenish their four-person army.
Aside from having to endure the slightly difficult control of your character when in combat, the game play is very simple and easily engaging for a free-roaming, side-scrolling adventure. I'd really like to see more titles like this on the DS/3DS in the future (preferably Aliens related) ...also with an optional CO-OP feature.

"Sup, killer? Nice work finding a camp."
"Camp? This is no mere 'camp,' Lilith! This is Antares Point, site of the fabled monolith known as Giganticus Headicus!"
"Sure, whatever. Any guns or loot worth taking here?"
"Well, no. But what it lacks in projectile weapons it makes up for in a vast treasure trove of nostalgia for the halcyon days of ancient travelers!"
"Uh-huh, thought so. I'll go ahead and head back to the ship."
"Come on, Lilith! Isn't it nice to be touring a desert locale without getting shot at by psychotic bandits or chewed on by giant monsters? Let's head inside, just for a little bit, please?"
"(sigh) I guess you've got a point there. We've traveled this far, anyway. Sure, why not?"
"Hooray, and I didn't even have to rush for cover this time!"
Taking some time away from their starship Sanctuary III, resident Siren and Vault Hunter Lilith travels with Claptrap - a fellow crewmember and the last surviving CL4P-TP general purpose robot in the galaxy - on a surprise visit to the deserts of Arizona on the planet Earth. Big and small stories of an ancient highway commonly known as Route 66 had unknowingly spread far beyond its origin planet, which compelled the curious-yet-cowardly Claptrap to explore the region. Knowing full well how much of an easy target the sometimes irksome robot has been on previous worlds, Lilith begrudgingly volunteered to accompany the adventurous machine to the planet's surface. As annoying as its demeanor can be, Lilith is often the first to admit how important Claptrap has proven to be in the survival of the Sanctuary III's crew, as well as their successes in several missions across the galaxy. She may ridicule the robot, but Claptrap is her target of mockery, and anyone else who would otherwise threaten it would have to go through her first, much to their immediate regret.
