Paul Van Dyk's long history at Gatecrasher extends once again with scheduled 6 hour set coming up on May 17. The hours PvD has spent behind the decks at the Midland's club and home to Gatecrasher has been phenomenal along with his appearences at their festivals.
In support is the very talented Ashley Casselle who has become a permanent fixture. Live vocalists on keyboards with a saxophonist will be adding the live touch to the night while the Trophy Twins play an exclusive 6 hour set of funky house and roller disco classics.

As we rounded a bend in our big Dodge Magnum, we saw this local rodeo in full swing. I couldn't let it pass, so pulled over to gape between the trees.
(This image is before we were spotted spying on them! )
We were spotted by some partygoers who waved us over, yelling to us in, errr, English, as we yelled back to them in a different kind of English.
Once they realised we were 'foreigners' they invited us in to the most memorable event of the trip. Super hosts who plied us with beer and food while we plied them with questions about the rodeo.
Simply wonderful people.
We caught the end of a wedding, along with a growing crowd of gatecrashers at the back of the abbey. They left the abbey at the end of the service to Sigur Ros' Hoppipolla.
Gatecrashed Andrew's 'Birds in Flight' workshop at the Power Boat Club, Golden Beach, Caloundra. What an awesome afternoon!
Taken whilst on a photoshoot randomly driving around the suburbs of Birmingham early one Sunday morning. I will have to take another trip around, plenty of interesting stuff to see, check back in this gallery soon for some updated pictures. Shot with Nikon D3100 using a kit 18-55mm lens.

A lassoed calf is earmarked and branded at the same time, then de-horned and castrated.
This is, no doubt, a very stressful time for each and every beast.
No denying it.
Every male calf that is not going to be put to stud is dealt with in the same way.

Once invited down to the rodeo, we established this was an annual event for local farmers/ranchers to carry out ear-marking, branding, dehorning and castration of the young bull calves.
An eye-opening experience.

Waves gatecrashing the gate to the garden of the house we rented.
Seaview, Isle of Wight, on a very moody April weekend. [VIEW LARGE, much better!]. Too bad I couldn't remove the camera's reflection in the glass window...
An enormous traffic cone has appeared outside Gatecrasher on Broad Street in Birmingham providing passers by with a larger than life view of one of the traffic stopping devices that are commonly used to signify roadworks.

This day, the big day for Steven & Irene. We were at Irene's place as early as 0530hrs and i will tell you the morning was really exciting with irene smiling and relaxing in the entire morning! Never fail to smile when the camera is pointing at her!
Not forgetting the sumptuous spread of breakfast that were prepared with lots of love! Kuehs, cakes and puffs and toasts made a perfect start to the morning.
I must applaud Steven for taking some time to dress up himself and his brotherhood! Dressed as Elvis and Rock Band certainly made the morning photo shoot the most exciting shoot ever! Beside the dressing, everyone played their part to make the gate crashing an enjoyable part! The sisters were all out to test Steven's sincerity with challenges such as handsomely spread Wasabi-flavoured bread, doing sit-ups with an inflated balloons on their tummy and singing out loud at the void deck.
Well. That of cause does not dampen the spirits of the brotherhood and they over-comed it with ease! (and of cause with a price. *wink* )
In the eyes of Steven, he must have felt all these are worth for this moment!

Gatecrashed Andrew's 'Birds in Flight' workshop at the Power Boat Club, Golden Beach, Caloundra. What an awesome afternoon!
Given the haphazard nature of the celebrations in 1976 where hundreds of supporters tried to gatecrash the Mansion House, Dublin Corporation decided to organise an open-top bus for the Victory Parade. There was only one suitable vehicle in the country - a 1945 Bristol - that was supplied to the Corporation by the Transport Museum of Ireland.
This photograph is from the Dublin City Council Photographic Collection. This unique collection is an educational resource and provides a basis for original research on the history of Dublin in the second half of the twentieth century.
