Today the Gaston and Belle Doll set arrived.
Gaston looks so cool and realistic.
Belle is a bit disapointing.
She looks a bit dead (she need a bit blush ore something).
And than the whole Hair thing is so weird.
I hope this is the las Time Disney will try that.
The Head is still made of Vinyl and a bit squishy.
It makes absolut no sence to me.
I love this set so much! Both, Belle and Gaston are so beautiful! *_*
I changed Belle's head position a bit and fixed her hair. Now she's perfect. <3

Gaston Norès (1894-1958) was a Belgian actor, born in Malines/ Mechelen, Belgium, within a bourgeois family, related to the Neoclassical painter François-Joseph Navez. Though trained at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique in Paris. he chose operetta as his career and triumphed as Prince Danilo in The Merry Widow, just before the First World War. After four years at the front, his vocal cords were ruined and he could not sing anymore. He was introduced to film director Gérard Bourgeois and became the lead in the two-part film La dette de sang (1922) and instantly a star. Several films followed, a.o. the serial Tao (Gaston Ravel, 1923), in which he played the young adventurer Jacques Chauvry opposite Joë Hamman as the title character, and Andrée Brabant as the damsel in distress and Norès's love interest. The 10-episodes serial was a huge success. In the 1920s Norès remained in demand in French cinema and was paired with Blanche Montel, Huguette Duflos, Christiane Favier, and Marie Glory. Still, he only played in 12 films and often had supporting parts. A major part he had in Phi-Phi (Georges Pallu, 1927) with Georges Gauthier in the title role as the Greek sculptor Phidias and Rita Jolivet as the latter's wife. He also had a major part in the Huguette Duflos vehicle Palaces (Jean Durand, 1927). At the advent of sound cinema, Norès's career was over. The last film he acted in was the early sound film Les papillons de nuit (Maurice Kéroul, 1930).
Gaston Norès died on 15 December 1958, at the age of 64 years in Bezons, Val-d'Oise, France. His great-grandson is actor and director Nicolas Norès.
