[10/08/2016] Stayed up way too late last night and had one too many drinks, so today was spent pretty low-energy and unproductive. Seriously, I am too old to drink more than 2 drinks in a night these days.

Had Aaron Antrim over for brunch this morning (tofu scramble and biscuits and gravy) and spent a long time talking about work and transit tech.

I lost my 12-day streak of working out today (no classes at a time when I was available), but starting tomorrow I'll try to beat it again.

I read this self-help book that's entirely about RPG'ing your real life (creating points and levels for real-life experiences). It's actually delightfully written and pretty well-suited for the way I think about things. I've had it on hold at the library for months and just now it arrived!

Playful is a one-day event all about games and play – in all their manifestations, throughout the contemporary media landscape. It’s a conference for architects, artists, designers, developers, geeks, gurus, gamers, tinkerers, thinkerers, bloggers, joggers, and philosophers. We look at what PLAY means both creatively and culturally, and put speakers on the stage who offer different perspectives on where we are currently, where we’ve been, and where we’re going. We want people walking away talking about the nature of games…what they mean to different people inside, on the periphery, outside or miles away from the industry.
