This picture is for the group Happy Caturday and this week the theme is "Toy".
Elijah's favorite toy is his squirrel on a string which you can see in this picture. We play with it every day. It's a Skinneeez toy by Ethical Pet.
The blue square you see him sitting in.... one of my doctors told me a while ago to make a square on the floor with tape (masking tape, painters tape, etc..) and watch as our kitties would go right to it. I really thought that he was kidding about the cats going into it. Both Elijah and Noah went right to it and sat within the square. I'm going to have to show him this picture... and tell him he was right. It was a fun "game" to try.
*We tried the square when they were about 16 or 20 weeks old and they didn't go into it. Actually they sat on the outside of it and just looked at us.

I was just finishing up the Hunger Games Trilogy when I took this shot. They were all really good, but the second on "Catching Fire" was by far my favorite. I read it in one evening.
Part of the Xmas party! Showjumping - it was how many jumps they could do in 2 minutes - Maddy, a young friend of our goes for it! She is a small child on a small pony - would be less than 13 hh!!
For all those swamp enthusiasts out there <3 - Small update to verdant is up! www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/60220/?
Today's Macro Monday theme is 'Games That People Play' and one of the things we've been playing more of as the kids get older are different types of board games.
We've a pretty good collection built up over the past couple of years, but we've still not managed to grab a game of Colt Express which has a 3D train as its board.
Maybe this weekend we'll make an extra effort to play it.
As we hadn't been able to celebrate JJ's birthday as we'd hoped, we had the brainwave that we could get some of the family together online to play some word and drawing games!! Matt and Sophie, my sister and niece, Cath, were up for it, and at 8pm we managed to hook up successfully! It was a fun way to get together and we all agreed we must do it again sometime!
(The top pic is from Matt's phone - he said their cat Cardi was confused as she could hear our voices but she didn't know where we were!!)

Now I'm not much of a reader, but I'll admit that The Hunger Games is a great book! Having only just read it, I'm now waiting to read the next two. Plus there's a movie being released...
Anyway, I'm thinking that my next build could be themed around The Hunger Games, maybe? This minifig' I just threw together for Katniss...obviously I'm going to paint the bow silver and probably change the torso and maybe the head/and hair. In fact, when I have more time I'll redo her :P
Don't expect anything soon though, college starts tomorrow so my months of doing basically nothing are over :'(
THE OLYMPIC GAMES
Two years ago I completed a project to design and fold several sport models on the occasion of the Olympic Games to be held in Rio de Janeiro (BraziL). This is the first time I take a family photo. All the models are half crumpled/half traditionaly folded from a black silk square paper.
