400 software developers and game enthusiasts attended the 16th Irish Games Fleadh at the Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT), Thurles Campus today (Wednesday).

 

Games Fleadh showcases the best of the third level game development community, while giving a unique opportunity for third level students to demonstrate their games to industry veterans and gain valuable feedback on their creations.

 

This annual event also proves popular among second level student who are given a rare insight into the 138 billion dollar industry.

I have multiple dungeons working now. There's also a fun "feature" -- I handle the dungeons by just incrementing an offset on a big bitmap with all the dungeons in it. If I offset past the last dungeon, the game interprets random areas of memory as a dungeon. Which is pretty cool.

 

Apologies for the flickering -- the refresh rate of my camera and the refresh rate of the Meggy LEDs do NOT get along.
