I think we are going to make Gallup Park a regular place to visit over the weekend. Just one of the best parks with all sorts of birds and wildlife along the Huron River. Hooded Mergansers are pretty cool birds. But they are confusing to identify. At first, I thought they were wood ducks and a person walking by thought they were buffleheads. Next time, I will be more certain when I see them! Taken at Gallup Park along the Huron River in Ann Arbor on Sunday February 12th, 2023.

Lots of swans on the river, they are spectacular! Mute swans have the orange beak and the trumpeter swans have the black beaks.
