Last day on Route 66, followed as much as we could from Chicago to Gallup, NM, through Illinois, Missouri, a bit of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and New-Mexico, except for a little side track to Sante Fe before ABQ.

Then from Gallup we headed NW to San Francisco through some gorgeous US National Parks, and then we followed PCH 1 down to the South to LA and finally arrived at the other end of Route 66, in Santa Monica. But we missed quite a bit of Route 66 in Arizona and California. Hopefully, we'll make that right some other time.

My best finds in the neighborhood are usually in the wood chip mulch, but I don't know if the chips brought in the mushroom spores, or if the mycellium is in the tree or shrub roots below.

Gallup, New Mexico, USA, Route 66

Ann Arborites and their visiting guests were out enjoying the Huron River at Gallup Park. The weather was just right for a 4th of July Holiday!
