This Barn Swallow had just left the nest and didn't make it far. It constantly begged for its parents to feed it.

Since discovering the dog park, we have not been here for a morning walk. But given how wet it is, I thought celebrating the beginning of the new year would be better where the paths are paved. Saw lots of birds and squirrels. I heard a kingfisher - maybe next time I will get a picture! Taken at Gallup Park along the Huron River in Ann Arbor on Saturday January 1st, 2022.
