Odderøya is an island and neighborhoods in Kristiansand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The 0.7-square-kilometre (170-acre) island lies immediately to the south of the city centre of Kristiansand and it is connected to the mainland by four bridges. The island creates a natural division between the eastern and western parts of the port of Kristiansand.
Gravanekanalen canal separates Odderøya from the city center and the fish wharf (Fiskebrygga). Prior to 1993, the island was owned by the Norwegian government and it was used as a naval base and training grounds, but since that time, the municipality of Kristiansand has taken over and is now using it for recreational purposes. The island is mostly undeveloped, but the town development plan does include an area on the island for up to 500 homes. wikipedia

North Georgia saw a mild winter storm for the first time since 2017 this past weekend getting a solid 4-5 inches of snow in some parts and freezing rain to top it off. GADOT did a surprisingly good job keeping the roads maintained and treated which allowed us to get out for some shots.
UP #1982 had come in from Memphis, TN on an extra I04 Thursday night and sat at Inman Yard all of Friday while it snowed. Usually the excess UP power is added onto 29S for LA but the good folks at Inman spun the #1982 and tacked it on the front of Macon, GA - Birmingham, AL freight #191 overnight in Atlanta, so big thanks to whoever that was!

So years ago (Geez almost a decade) I did a Wonder Woman photo and since I had this mesh outfit I figured I'd put together a new one based on Gal Gadot
(No spoilers. Just feelings)
I've got a happy chance to see the new Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice film yesterday. The film was in Zack Snyder's directing style with a lot of sad scenes and with many dream sequences. But don't listen to all the critics. It’s a massive movie with a lot of story. The action scenes between Batman and Superman are absolutely great. The cinematography was spectacular! The actors did a really good job. I loved Ben Affleck as Batman and Henry Cavill as Superman.They both did a brilliant job! Also Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was beautiful. All in all, I can't say that I loved it, but I can say that I liked it. It's definitely worth watching!

Although a 2019 W Club Exclusive, she was one of the first dolls to arrive here in January 2020. What an exquisite version of the Baroness! I think she looks like a dark Gal Gadot - she definitely looks like an Amazonian Queen.

I can't wait to see where this will take the DCEU in the future and how it will change the playing field here on out!
I for one expect DC is gonna knock it out of the park *fingers crossed*! I mean Wonder Woman and The Amazons fighting Nazis in the Trenches?! How could that be any cooler?!
Anyway, consider this a precursor to my thoughts on the film, because I'm sure I'll have plenty to say! :P

I've wanted to put this edit together since SDCC 2016. Zack Snyder brought the cast out on stage and they immediately threw the first official shot of the team up on the screen in Hall H. If only we knew how much studio drama was really going on at the time.

Managed to make a ton of progress on black suit Superman in the past week! Cyborg and Aquaman have been coming along really well too and I can't wait to start painting them soon.
Of all the Henry Cavill Superman minifigures I've made over the years - the head for this one is easily the best. I think I finally got really close to his likeness with the face and the Life Brick hairpiece really compliments it well.
A project started in 2017 and now finished 3+ years later. Custom LEGO Justice League minifigures to celebrate the release of the Snyder Cut on HBO Max 🔥🎨
Superman is 100% painted (including the face which took 3 attempts to get right) and features sculpted muscle definition. Hairpiece by Life Brick.
Batman uses an old cowl printed by CyclopsBricks and painted by me in 2017. Torso and arms feature 3D pieces w/ the suit’s texture marks painted throughout to continue them from LEGO’s torso.
Wonder Woman uses an Arealight curved torso, modded/painted BrickForge sword, & a heavily modded/painted waistcape by CapeMadness. She’s fully painted too except for the head, however I painted the star into her tiara on both sides. Everything except for the back of her torso & painted leg armor was all done in 2017.
The Flash is 100% painted and is basically 3D element city. He features 3D components on both sides of his torso, the arms, & his legs (sculpted shoulder armor too). Once all of the paint work was complete for each section of the figure I glued on thin strands of ProCreate to portray the wires holding his suit together in the movie. Most of the work on him was done in 2017 too.
Aquaman (as he appears in the 2018 solo film) features sculpted armor, a sculpted beard, & muscle definition along w/ a fantastic trident by LeYiLeBrick. His hairpiece was heavily drilled out on the inside and painted with various shades of dark brown, chestnut, & beige colors. He also features a heavily modded/painted CapeMadness waistcape. Every dot and scale was then painted on individually.
Cyborg was easily one of the most challenging sculpts I’ve ever done, but really it was just all about going slow and doing 1 piece at time. Before all of that though, I drilled out large sections of the minifig to embed sculpted detail inside to avoid unnecessary bulk when building out the armor. LEGO’s Cyborg helmet was also heavily sanded, drilled into, and modded w/ sculpted sections added to the top and his right cheek. He was fully painted in silver w/ a dark silver wash to complete the figure while still maintaining a lot of outlines.
Oh, and Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, & The Flash all feature Tiny Tactical glove tops. Gotta have those!
This was easily the hardest I’ve worked on a set of figures in a really long time. I’d love to hear what you all think!

After over a month of work, the Justice League showcase is finally complete and on the channel 🔥🔱⚡️
It’s been non-stop work though and so all other content was really neglected during this time. Special thanks to all of my customizers who stuck with me and followed the entire journey on Patreon over the last month while I haven’t really been posting.
Man of Steel, Batman v Superman, & Zack Snyder’s Justice League brought these larger-than-life characters together on screen for the first time and that was worth celebrating at least one more time.
This is the hardest I’ve worked on a showcase since Infinity War, but it was worth it. Even if it meant possibly starting to develop lower back issues for the first time in my life...😎😅

I love these minifigures! I do wish Flash was a darker red color like his torso is. Other than that, these are all great minifigures! I see Lego finally listened to us about adding stubble to the Batfleck minifigure. I was a little disappointed, that we didn't get a black suit Superman though. Maybe that means he won't wear one on the movie, or that Lego could have him as a promotional minifigure in November. Hopefully it's the latter.

Features a heavily modded and sculpted custom body (including the helmet). Got through the entire series of Mr. Robot while working on just the upper half of the sculpt lol
It’s been kind of surreal making this 3+ years later after abandoning the original showcase in 2017 because of the Josstice League studio disaster. This is a figure I thought I would never make, but honestly I’m happy to be doing it now instead of back then when it was a lot more daunting.
This is also probably the fastest progress I’ve ever made on a figure as complex as this. Can’t wait for you guys to see the rest of him soon!
Watching BvS for the first time was both a fun experience and also quite exhausting. I had a near-12-hour workday that day and caught the late show with some friends. I was excited to be with the guys and finally see such a big movie, but I was a little out of it. I didn't want to admit it but I was struggling to keep awake, a problem I've never had in a movie theater in my entire life. My lack of focus resulted in me not understanding much of what I was watching, either.
By the end of the movie the theater was getting hot, I was tired, and the constant intense flashing of lights and super loud roars of Doomsday were giving me a Kryptonian Super-headache. I also really had to use the restroom as I was drinking a lot that night. I just wanted it to be over as soon as possible. By the time the credits rolled, I made a beeline for the urinal.

Anyway, throughout the entire Hero/Doomsday fight at the end, all I kept doing was trying to remember where I've seen a translucent green-tipped spear before.

This Darkseid is a quick “half custom.” Just a simple repaint of a knockoff bigfig, and very far from what the actual custom figure would look like. The real custom Darkseid bigfig would require a pretty incredible amount of work: heavy modding/prepping, heavy sculpting work, & high detail painting all over. There likely isn’t going to be time for all of that in 2021 if I am to still tackle all my other projects (Mando S2, Falcon/Winter Soldier, Avengers, etc). Still wanted to do this repaint for my display though since the official LEGO Darkseid looked way too bright/colorful when paired with my figures.
