We are in dire need of world collaboration. It is time we realized that we all need one another and each and every one of us is important and we need to find a way to live and work together happily and accept our differences.

When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be
You raise me up to more than I can be

Impromptu balcony shot on what was a remarkably clear day. The Sun was perfect at this angle and I wanted to capture it in star fashion of diffraction. I see the foliage as looking forward to the future with the guiding light above illuminating it's path. Quite an example of consciousness in this image I think.
Hope everyone's week is going well and as always thank you! :)

Sershul Tekchen Dargyeling སེར་ཤུལ་ ཏེཀ་ ཆེན་ དར་ གྱེ་ གླིང་
Founding (1759) > Monks 1255 •Religious Sect > Geluk སེར་ཤུལ་དགོན། > ser shul dgon > Sershül Gön Sershul Tekchen Dargyeling སེར་ཤུལ་ ཏེཀ་ ཆེན་ དར་ གྱེ་ གླིང་ is an important monastery of the Gelukpa School, located 20 km west of Deongma, on the right side of the road. This is currently the largest monastery in Sershul county, with 1200-1300 monks divided into six colleges, under the guidance of the youthful but charismatic Drukpa Rinpoche. The rain retreat festival held in August is a magnificent spectacle, attracting nomad communities. The hills and grasslands around the monastery are sparse and spacious.
The complex was founded as a branch of Chunkor but soon outgrew the latter. The recently restored buildings at Sershul, which are all near the motor road, include the Tsokchen (assembly hall), the Jamkhang (Maitreya temple), the Gonkhang (protector temple), the Dewachen Lhakhang (Amitabha temple), the Mentsikhang (where Mipham Rinpoche`s tradition is maintained), the college, a Mani Wheel chapel (containing three wheels constructed by the father of the present Drukpa Rinpoche) and a small guesthouse. A new Tsongkhapa Lhakhang, resembling a giant cathedral, has been constructed below the main complex, and was due for completion and consecration on 12 December, 2008. www.footprinttravelguides.com/c/2848/tibet/&Action=pr...
Perched high on a rocky cliff, the lighthouse lights the way in stormy weather and at night, alerting sailors to the danger of the nearby shore. As dramatic as this can be on a stormy night, the scene is peaceful and unspectacular in the warm light of the summer sun.
Thanks for your criticism and as always, favs, likes and comments are gratefully appreciated!
a wooden bridge in the forest. just a small stream, one step and you are on the other side. you don't need it. but when rain is coming it is absolutely required!

There couldn't have been more than about two minutes from the time I approached this fence until I walked away. Perhaps a reflection on my increasingly short attention span. Or maybe my internal guidance system telling me that I already had the definitive shot and there was no point hanging out here. I get that quote often while out shooting. An inner voice seems to tell me when I'm done. Sometimes it's so clear and distinct that it feels external, not of my own mind. No matter; I always heed it. Anyway, back in the moment, I immediately reacted to the shadows cast by the pickets. They seemed to lengthen the pickets in a way that restored their full height, as if to account for the lower portions that were buried in the deep snow. I also loved the dichotomy of the quintessential white picket fence transformed into something ominous, almost cage-like. Not to mention another bright, sunny winter day turned into a film noir abstraction.
