"La Ferrari 812 Superfast est la Ferrari à moteur avant la plus puissante avec son moteur de 12 cylindres développant 800 chevaux. Il s'agit d'un moteur atmosphérique de 6,5 litres. Elle reprend les feux arrière de la GTC4 Lusso, un modèle plus « familial » chez Ferrari. La 812 est une propulsion comme la F12, le modèle précédent. Le 0 à 100 km/h est abattu en seulement 2,9 secondes, et le 0 à 200 en 7,9 secondes, avec une vitesse maximale de 340 km/h.
Avec ses performances, la 812 entend concurrencer les meilleurs modèles du moment dans la catégorie Grand tourisme et même des supercars. Son profil aérodynamique est amélioré, mais sans l'aérobridge de la F12 (les deux ouvertures sur les côtés du capot). Pour la comparer à sa concurrente, l'Aventador S, sa puissance est forte de 60 chevaux et 28 Nm supplémentaires, son poids a été allégé de 100 kg, et elle est équipée d'une boîte à double embrayage contre une boîte à simple embrayage pour l'Aventador S. Les performances des deux voitures sont très proches, avec 2,9 secondes pour la 812 et 2,8 secondes au 0 à 100 km/h pour l'Aventador S ; et en ce qui concerne la vitesse de pointe, 350 km/h pour la Aventador S et 340 km/h pour la 812.
La 812 superfast reprend le nom d'un modèle de 1964 : la Ferrari 500 Superfast."

I took this photograph at the Ferrari Racing Days meeting at Silverstone in September 2017. It is either a Ferrari GTC4Lusso which has the Ferrari F140ED 6,262cc V12 engine and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, or it's a Ferrari GTC4Lusso T and has the 3,855cc twin-turbo V8 Ferrari 154 engine. The GTC4Lusso has four-wheel drive whilst the GTC4Lusso T has rear wheel drive only and both cars have a four-wheel steering system. The GTC4Lusso was introduced in 2016 and the GTC4Lusso T a year later, and both ceased production in 2020. F5 GPN now shows on the DVLA record as a white 6,496cc 2024 Ferrari.

The GTC4Lusso replaced the prior "FF", with the same top speed and V-12. Compression now 13.5:1, increasing power. The top-of-the-line model comes with 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering.
A twin-turbo V-8 version with rear wheel drive only was produced 2017-2020.
Production ended in 2020 and no follow-on model has been announced.

I very nearly didn't take a photo of this car thinking it was just a standard California. Luckily I did as this was a very rare 70th Anniversary car with a one off paint job on the California to pay hommage to the 1971 "Gobbone" 365 GTC4. The same paint is worn by an F12 in San Francisco that also pays hommage.
