Los tejidos mayas: historia y tradiciones que trascienden en el tiempo. Fue la diosa de la luna, Ixchel, la que otorgó a las mujeres el arte de tejer; ella les dio los telares y las instruyó sobre los símbolos sagrados que habían de utilizarse para ilustrar las telas.
Mayan fabrics: history and traditions that transcend time. It was the goddess of the moon, Ixchel, who gave women the art of weaving; she gave them the looms and instructed them on the sacred symbols that were to be used to illustrate the fabrics.
