Had the absolute pleasure of watching this dynamic duo jump at GSEC this weekend. How do you recognize a winning team? A winning team makes the jump look effortless - not an easy thing to do.
The only way to describe these two is that they didn't jump as much as they glided through the air. Truly stellar performance. They won their competition on Sunday. If they hadn't, I might have had to throw a fit.

Este libro presenta la información obtenida durante el desarrollo del proyecto denominado “Recubrimientos cerámicos e híbridos funcionales con resistencia a la corrosión y propiedades ópticas”, adelantando por el grupo GSEC – Uptc en convenio con Colciencias y la Universidad del Cauca. La técnica sol – gel en una de la síntesis de materiales de interés en la actualidad; a través de este procedimiento se puede obtener cerámicos para conformar recubrimientos (películas finas o gruesas) y obtener fibras. Esto ha permitido que el método sol – gel adquiera un gran interés científico y tecnológico.
Con el fin de determinar la calidad y eficiencia de los recubrimientos, se evaluaron las propiedades mecánicas y microestructurales, se realizó el ensayo de Espectroscopía de Impedancia Electroquímica, EIS, para determinar las propiedades anticorrosivas, y se evaluaron las características superficiales de las películas por Microscopía Electrónica de Barrido, Difracción de rayos X y ensayos de adhesión, desgaste y microdureza.
