Para avaliar sua performance, o recordista mundial dos 50 e 100 metros nado livre, Cesar Cielo, participou no sábado (22/10) de uma bateria de testes no laboratório do Gatorade Sports Science Institute (GSSI).
Cielo foi o único brasileiro entre os 50 atletas a participar dos testes. O GSSI Lab, que estará na Expo Guadalajara, realizou sete diferentes testes com o nadador. As provas avaliaram o estado inicial de hidratação do atleta, o seu gasto de energia durante a prática da atividade física, a perda e composição do seu suor, sua capacidade anaeróbica, sua velocidade de reação, suas habilidades motoras e seus hábitos de hidratação e de alimentação antes, durante e depois das atividades físicas.
Os resultados mostrarão fatores chaves que influenciam o desempenho esportivo do campeão e através dessas informações, o time de profissionais do instituto de Gatorade dará a Cielo orientações personalizadas de como melhorar ainda mais sua performance nas piscinas.
