Greenville and Northern PS 5344 #8097 is seen at Jackson MI on August 12th, 1980. Itel rail leased three sets of 50 boxcars via the GRN, with each group of cars built by three of the main car builders that participated in the IPD craze of the 1970s; ACF, Pullman, and FMC. The PS built cars were built in the middle of the ACF and FMC orders, numbered 8050 through 8099. The most interesting note about these cars is the quasi-Burlington Northern scheme, down to the colors, font, and graphics! No photographer listed, JL Sessa collection.
