People walk by an exhibit in the Topography of Terror museum in Berlin.

Shadown down low on the concrete lip marking where the floor meets the metal grid wall of the Adelaide Airport Carpark.

This wonderful little cottage was in the highest elevations of Wales. It was truly off the grid with a generator, water from a spring and an oil burning Aga stove. Every morning Mark would push the begrudging sheep out of that little front entrance so he could stumble over to the blue door you see and get the generator started to warm the freezing home and water. Our version of roughing it, but what spectacular views. Great memories shared with Andy.

A structure on the Wilhelmineplein, facing the regional Courthouse which I identified as a sculpture, but I ain't sure it is. There are probably a myriad of metaphoric connections to be made between this structure and a courthouse. But I was not thinking about it when I shot this – the motive was purely graphic, as it often is ;-)

Do you remember my photo 'A work in progress' ?

Well, I finally finished the basic pattern. It is a very large extension of this origami-tessellation, called 'Start'.

It is the first time I ever folded such a large grid!

Now the fun part begins, adding the final pattern by altering the magical hexagons ;-))

Folded from a hexagon 43cm, grid 1:128, 'Anett'-paper.

If you are interested to see more, have a look at my tessellation album Origami - Tessellation Progression".

I do tend to like the geometric grid pattern, must be the cubical space planner in me.

From the old box 'o slides - sometime from the late 80s.

This is a close-up of a section of a metal path that I saw in Hampton Court Palace Gardens.

Green and Black grid don't get too close you may radiate at any moment, ready to transport!! I took the photo "Industrial Green" and darkened it to get the grid black, really this is a playground walk way shot from below then flipped over in print, the sky was shifted from bright blue to green.

After visiting the architectural splendours of the station at Wemyss Bay, we called in at Paisley Gilmour Street where the building style is different but equally distinctive and appealing - it’s also Category B Listed status.

I opted to take this shot under the glass panelled roof knowing there'd be a few awkward shadows over the cab, but trusting too that the hi-speed burst would deliver a few frames where it was acceptable. As it turned out there were just a couple of frames that were usable.

The train is the 1.14pm Prestwick - Grangemouth Refinery discharged tanks (6N47), hauled by Colas Grid 56090. The outbound service carries aircraft fuel to Prestwick, perhaps better known as Glasgow's second and smaller international airport. Currently owned by the Scottish Government, I understand they announced recently their intention to sell the facility - if you're a potential buyer committed to developing the business whilst maintaining current levels of employment, then this could well be the opportunity for you.
