This bird was unknown to me until I travelled to Saskatchewan. It is a tiny bird rather difficult to locate. When I heard the buzz in the bushes, I initially thought that the sound was made by an insect. These active birds tend to forage within the branches of shrubs or on the ground beneath cover. According Cornelllab of Ornithogoly although they are still very numerous, their numbers have slowly declined over the past 40 years

A golden moment fleeting by

Coronado Heights is a hill northwest of Lindsborg, Kansas. It is alleged to be near the place where Francisco Vásquez de Coronado gave up his search for the seven cities of gold and turned around to return to Mexico.

Coronado Heights is one of a chain of seven sandstone bluffs in the Dakota Formation and rises approximately 300 feet.[1]

In 1915 a professor at Bethany College in Lindsborg found chain mail from Spanish armor at an Indian village excavation site a few miles southwest of the hill,[2] and another Bethany College professor promoted the name of Coronado Heights for the hill. In 1920 the first road was built up the hill, known as Swensson Drive, with a footpath known as Olsson Trail. In 1936, a stone shelter resembling a castle was built on top of the hill as a project of the Works Progress Administration. In 1988 a sculpture by John Whitfield was placed half-way up the hill with the inscription "Coronado Heights 'A Place to Share'".[1]

A group of pronghorn antelope graze on the prairie of northeastern New Mexico, illuminated by the warm low angle light just before sunset. Pronghorn are one of the most emblematic grazers of western North America, occurring in open terrain from the deserts of the southwest through the Great Basin and onto the Great Plains. They are the most speedy of the large ungulate grazers in North America, able to achieve a speed of 55 mph (88 km/h) for short distances, making them a tough target for predators.

Unexpected sunset show! Thought it would be clear, but these very dynamic clouds popped up. Very close to sunset - you can see the stripe of sun shining between the train and the tracks.

Also some decent anticrepuscular rays going on!

Frosty morning at Sylvan Lake, South Dakota, USA. This is my second upload taken with a drone, I still don't know how to use the damn thing, I had problems landing it, the commands didn't seem to work, perhaps because of the temperatures, seems drone batteries don't like the cold, and there's a 30m(100ft) geofence everywhere I tried in the USA. The lake surface was already frozen from an onslaught of cold weather before I visited, the forecast for the following days was for unseasonable warmth, after I left the area they were blasted with an onslaught of....covid19, which didn't surprise me at all, NOBODY there was wearing masks indoors or out, or social distancing, NOBODY!
