You have to see it in Large size at least. I'm going to heavily edit this one, I think, but here is the basic route up Avalanche Gultch to the summit of Shasta (almost...).
I'd like to make the route up a different color than the route down, I'd like to add a few more feature points, maybe inset a few photos from those points, add some elevation markers, (maybe a chart), add some speed and distance markers, etc. Any suggestions?
Note: an interesting thing happened with this photo: originally, it was around 8000px across. When uploaded, the Flickr resize routines apparently failed - I got a black image for every size other than original. Reducing to 6000px on the long edge fixed the problem...
While attending The Mighty String Thing Concert.
Screenshot from my phone. It knows when we arrived and when we left. Actually, it simply saves me from writing it all down.
The loop over 2 days, which for me totaled out to 1013 miles. Dom rode out from Michigan to Phoenix to meet his family for Christmas, then met me at Essex CA to start our loop.

See why I bike to work? It is a much nicer trek. Plus, I only hit 2 stoplights! El Camino is a nightmare of stoplights...
I had to drop the resolution and quality a bunch to get it under Flickr's 10mb limit, but this is my treck to work, as logged using GPS.
This is just my first experiment in presenting data like this. If I can get a smooth work flow, maybe I'll start doing all my tracks in the same way. Just wait till I get my Mt. Shasta data up... that'll be fun!
