Full title "Bang a Gong (Get It On)" by T. Rex - 1971
A gong in front of a spirit tree at Wat Kho Lak Royal Monastery.
The decorations at Gong Wu Shrine are very colourful and detailed. I spent a fascinating 20 minutes or so exploring and was pleased to see that I could go up the stairs for a look around
Shot this yesterday. First, i planned to shoot sunrise here, but the sky is dark, so i wait for lightning, but both are not coming.
Until the rainbow appears to cheer me up :D
Thanx and have nice days :)

One of the great figures found in Chinese Buddhist temples is the bodhisattva Guan Gong, a historical figure raised to altars and venerated in temples as a great protector and guardian of dharma. His figure is imposing. It seems strange that in Buddhism there are representations of warriors with angry faces. His belligerent posture frightens, preventing the entry of evil, since his job is to protect the benefactors. His incorporation into Buddhism, coming from popular beliefs, is part of the history of Buddhism in China.
Not great photographically speaking, but this is the Gong I was allowed to ring having ran a new personal best at the 5k parkrun :-)

Italia mia bella preparati : "La pacchia è finita" . Ma veramente....

Guan Yu Shrine or written as Gong Wu Shrine is a historic shrine of Guan Yu, god of war and faithfulness in ancient Chinese beliefs. Located in Khwaeng Somdet Chao Phraya, Khet Khlong San, Bangkok's Thonburi side on the western bank of Chao Phraya River.
This shrine is considered to be the oldest Guan Yu shrine in Thailand. Believed to be over 280 years old, built since the late Ayutthaya period in the reign of the King Borommakot (corresponding to the reign of Qianlong Emperor of Qing Dynasty) and said that before the King Taksin will do battle, he also came to worship at this shrine as well.
