Friday a.m: Frost on the ground and foggy at first and then the sun came out.....creating golden reflections.
Location: Uitwateringskanaal, Katwijk aan Zee, South Holland, The Netherlands
I met this beautiful female common blue butterfly resting on kidney vetch while I was walking at Elliot in Arbroath with my mum and dad in June this year.
Sunset mirrored in a gravel pond at Sawhill Ponds open space. The only blemishes in the water surface came from hatching insects and fishing lures. The crepuscular rays line up with the sun’s point of departure on the horizon. A few of the high peaks of the Indian Peaks are visible on the left. This week I’ll be backpacking not far from those peaks, so will not be able to fav and comment your photos, but look forward to catching up when I get back.

For a little while, I was the richest man alive. Then the sun hid behind a cloud.
This 2.5cm goldwork star, crafted by Niqui, appears to fly through a dark sky, leaving a trail of gold spangles as it goes.

I will not be posting for the next four days, since I am traveling to Michigan to celebrate my parents 69th Anniversary of wedded bliss!
They are 90 and 93 and still living in their home.
Doing reasonably well for that age and they've got great attitudes. They are the best parents any child could ever asked for and I love them so much!

"Why do I have to grow up?" asked Pink.
"Because you can't be young forever." answered Gold.
"But...why?" Pink pressed on.
"Why not?" Gold countered back.
Pink's lips parted to answer but then she realized she had no idea why she was opposed to growing up.
Gold just chuckled, allowing her to digest her own questions that honestly did not have answers.
If only pink knew that no one really grows up, they just pretend to. There is a little child in all of us...
