The swim sisters are the guardian "Angels" of the swimmers. If anyone needs assistance while in the water they just raise a hand and signal a swim sister and she will be there for whatever assistance is needed. Usually just a moment holding onto one of the water noodles to get a short breather. This is a fantastic program and it was very clear that "Safety" was a top priority at this triathlon.

We arrived in Pleasanton about 7:30 pm on Friday. Beth wanted to get some swim time in the open water. It turned out that the water was pretty warm (about 65) which felt pretty good in comparison to the Smith River at home where she has been training. The Smith was about 56 to 58 during training. She decided that the wet suit was not necessary at Shadow Cliffs. I swam with her on Saturday morning and definately agreed that the water felt almost warm and no wet suits were needed. I wish our rivers at home were this warm.
I would appreciate help with this young ladys name. She was the Trek representative at the Triathlon.
