Moss Glen Falls of Granville is a gorgeous horsetail with thin streams of water which choose their path down a slightly angled rock face. The falls start out by bubbling down over some short steps before spreading out to dance down into a light teal pool about 25 feet wide. The falls are located on VT 100, and they are a major contributing factor as to why this road is widely considered to be Vermont's most scenic byway.

Glen tilt had a healthy population at one time, its mainly Sheep and Deer nowadays.

Located within the awe-inspiring Lochaber Geopark in the Highlands, the deep valley and towering mountains of Glen Coe were carved out centuries ago by icy glaciers and volcanic explosions. Glen Coe is regarded as the home of Scottish mountaineering and is popular with hillwalkers and climbers.

Looking across Glen Dee in the late afternoon November sun, it's been a fantastic day cycling up Glen Ey. I just had to stop driving when I saw this view between Inverey and Braemar on my way home.

A lovely day for a cycle to Glen Clova today.

A fair way up the longest glen in Scotland.

Liked the color of the rocks there in the glen in this area. The different rock strata as you climb around the area is as neat as the all the waterfalls.

Landscape on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.

It was difficult to get a 'special' shot of this amazing place on such a dull overcast day so I decided to scale a hillock and include some people in the shot for scale.

The Fairy Glen is so named for the simple reason that the area looks a little unearthly. It has nothing to do with fairies, or so they say... It's like a Quirang landslip but in miniature. The heavily worn path on left of frame climbs a little to a basalt topping of the tallest of the outcrops just here. A great vantage point I am sure but, sadly, my ankle wouldn't take the gradient. The spiral of stones is a tourist creation that the locals keep clearing away to try to keep the area as natural as possible.

I imagine in beautiful light the place looks extra magical but, under these clouds, I didn't feel like taking too many shots. I just wanted to sit upon the damp grass and soak in the peace and atmosphere of the Fairy Glen.

Enjoy!

A look from a place called Chesthill towards the Carn Mairg group of mountains.

The wee lochan in Glen Dye, Aberdeenshire.

From the summit of Sron nan Gabhar, I'm not even high enough to be at the top of Creag nan Gabhar, my target for the day. However this is the view from Sron which is pretty stunning.

Creag nan Gabhar translates as Rocky Hill of the Goat and stands at 834 meters. Not high enough to be a Munro but it is a Corbett.

Glen Lyon is a glen in the Perth and Kinross region of Scotland. It is the longest enclosed glen in Scotland and runs for 34 miles from Loch Lyon in the west to the village of Fortingall in the east. This glen was also known as "An Crom Ghleann",. The land given over to the MacGregors was Scottish Gaelic: An Tòiseachd.

Nice to get a better look at this lovely glen this afternoon.

The name Glen Coe is often said to mean "Glen of Weeping", perhaps with some reference to the infamous Massacre of Glencoe which took place there in 1692.Whatever,the place certainly has an oppressive moody atmosphere.

I stumbled upon something of a hidden glen recently. Narrow, deep and steep-sided, it seemed to have its own microclimate, with amazingly lush vegetation for this time of year.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
