I could not pick a better song than The Stones " Gimme Shelter " featuring guest vocals Merry Clayton.
The lyrics is so true of what is happening or will happen there.

In this time of quarantine and confinement, I've rediscovered The Rolling Stones. I remember that my father used to play a lot the LP Hot Rocks 1964-1971. They are really amazing. Don't know if they are greater than The Beatles, but their legacy will be long-lasting.

The 9th of April 2009 was a sunny day...but today I prefer bad weather. So I worked a little bit with photoshop. Hope you like it.

HAPPY SLIDERS SUNDAY !!
Here is my heavily slid (edited) photo of the flower of the Peace Lily.

I was struck by how the Peace Lily shelters its "children."
This and the current horrific war-time suffering of children in Gaza
and elsewhere in the world took my back to 1969.
It seems we have made no progress since then toward a world of peace, free of war.
By 1969, most of the general public in the USA and the rest of the West
were finally disgusted with the Viet Nam War.
The Rolling Stones were at the top of their game. In a response to the war,
they wrote and sang a protest son about the plight of children in war time:
Gimme Shelter.

Gimme Shelter - Excerpt from the lyrics:
War, children, yeah
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
War, children
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away, hey
Rape, murder
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder, yeah
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Rape, murder (woo)
It's just a shot away
It's just a shot away,

We had a terrific storm last evening that brought us wind, rain and hail. This little bumble took shelter under a leaf on the Maximilian Sunflowers. I found it this morning drying out and clinging on..
for the last day of my song selections in Musically Challenged, i knew i wanted to do "Gimme Shelter".
everything that i know and love about classic rock, i learned from my big brother. and though our top bands were Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and, most importantly, The Doors, there were a few dozen Stones songs that found a permanent place on our list of favorites.
that, and the fact that the first concert i ever attended, with my brother and some friends, was the Rolling Stones (with Guns N Roses opening!).
i had a much different shot in mind than the one i posted, but i wasn't able to find the time to execute it.
i'll probably get around to doing it one day, but i didn't want to let my last chance at doing "Gimme Shelter", to just... fade away.
(yes, i totally said that on purpose. and yes. i am such a dork)
it may not look like a storm is threatening on that sun soaked beach, but i love the way the women in the bottom right are looking up to the sky as if something IS, in fact, coming their way.

Lyrically, whatever. But that guitar is just to die for, and the haunting backup vocals give me chills every time.
I've been kind of a slave to my 50mm lately, so I figured I'd whip out the ultrawide for a change.

While we all need to “Gimme Shelter (in Place)”, it seems like we are “Are Living in a Ghost Town,” because “This Place is Empty.” It is “Terrifying” to venture out, because when you do, you roll the “Tumbling Dice,” because this virus is a “Heartbreaker” and a “Bitch.” It’s enough to make you feel “Shattered.” All around you, people are “Torn and Frayed,” so it is nice to be able to come to someone’s “Emotional Rescue.”
The other day I had to go to the store, and I saw this woman. “She Was Hot” – at least 39°C, so I told “Get Off Of My Cloud,” and at least six feet away. Better yet, “Please Go Home.” I don’t want to get the “Ventilator Blues.” If you want to be “Dancing With Mr. D.,” be my guest, but I’ve “Got To Get Away.”
After that, I went home, because being out in public felt like “Another Land.” I might as well be "2000 Light Years From Home." And even when you go out, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” – like toilet paper.
I’m worried, because last time I called “Dear Doctor,” there were still no tests available. I tried to distract myself by doing a “Jigsaw Puzzle,” but “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” from that. The Hell with it! I “Might As Well Get Juiced,” before I have a COVID-"19th Nervous Breakdown."
Once we have a vaccine, I will have no "Sympathy for the Devil."
Please feel free to add your own musical puns (Stones or otherwise). There are so many possibilities.
