“There are gigantic trees that have grown tall into the winds and the clouds over the thousands of years of their lives, their tops are rustled and tossed by the mists of the atmosphere!

Dreams are like bubbles, they come in amazing forms; some colourful while others gigantic. Like bubbles, many burst soon after they are formed, yet there are those that last and while they do, give pleasures to those that chase after it. How do you treat your dreams? Do you burst it or do you chase after it?

“Le Mur des Canuts” is a gigantic mural depicting ordinary life in the La Croix-Rousse neighborhood of Lyon, France. Hyperrealistic in imagery and packed with intricate details, this massive mural is considered one of the largest displays of public art in Europe.

"Nature is impersonal, awe-inspiring, elegant, eternal. It's geometrically perfect. It's tiny and gigantic. You can travel far to be in a beautiful natural setting, or you can observe it in your backyard...."

-Gretchen Rubin

To truly notice the enormous size of this platform and its moais, it’s ideal to walk around the back. As with the other ahu, at some point in history, the Rapa Nui Moai toppled the Tongariki. But beyond that, the earthquake that measured 9.5 points on the Richter scale, which struck the Chilean coast of Valdivia in 1960, caused a large tsunami in the Pacific Ocean; with waves that reached up to 11 meters high in Easter Island, waves that hit the ahu and dragged the moai up to 100 meters inland, damaging them significantly.

These are probably the largest lilies that I've come across. There were a few stems of these growing in a local park's garden this past summer.

I do not normally us a phone for Photography, but here I wanted to have as much I could of the Cloud, so I used the phone to take a quick panorama shot of the Cloud.

This monster of a Cloud was moving very fast towards me, in this image it has not reach the Power Windturbines yet. the left side of the Cloud moved faster than the right side of the Cloud. The size of the Cloud is enourmous, you have to see it in real life to get how big it is, the Windturbines are 45 meters (148 feet) high, the Cloud are several kilometers/miles wide, the distance from the far left wind turbine to the far right wind turbine is 500 meter ( 1640 feet). Just before the Cloud arrived to the Coast, there was severe Wind and when it arrived to the Coast it started with where heavy Rain.

It was very impressive !

These gigantic, dark green/black philodendron leaves with the starkly graphic veins and subtle swirling patterns in the darker areas are pieces of art in themselves. Press "L" to see the patterns better.

I first encountered this plant in the Lincoln Park Botanical Garden in Chicago and its leaves were even larger and longer with the same striking characteristics but that image didn't turn out well.

Australia is suffering a major climatic disaster. Those infernal fires are of gigantic proportions, that are hard to imagine for most of us. Climate change is real. Young people have realized and are shouting for help, but sadly, politicians seem to don't care. In Mexico our ignorant president are supporting fossil fuels instead of renovable energies, which is a tremendous error for our future. Hope we can make a change before this is unavoidable.

Inside the giant Hagia Sophia, in Istanbul, Türkiye (nee Turkey).

Built by the Justinian I, Emperor of the Eastern Roman / Byzantine Empire, the Hagia Sophia was completed in 537, and remained the world's largest cathedral for nearly a thousand years, until Seville Cathedral was completed in 1520.

As the railway operators are starting to use new locomotives, there is less and less task for the old engines.

Class 630 (V63) alongside with the M62's were the most common locs, hauling freight trains not so long ago. Nowadays it's a rare thing to find these older machines at the front of heavy freight trains.

On the sunny morning of 29th June we were lucky enough to capture a picture of V63 007 hauling an eastbound tank train.

We hiked here on our first day. We were completely soaked when we returned to the car; between the rain and the spray from the waterfall, it was unavoidable. The waterfall is massive! And loud. That's John over there to give you a sense of scale. I had clambered up a separate mound for the shot. It was so cool to be so close to something so massive and powerful. In the little pools we saw a muskrat swimming around. At first I had thought it was a small beaver, but when I saw the tail I figured it was a giant rat or something else, and after looking in a book while we were warming up by a fire I saw what it had actually been. Pretty nifty. And I highly recommend taking the time to see this wonderful site.
