A trio of Conrail GG1s bring a northbound out of B&P tunnel in Baltimore with freight that no longer travels on Amtrak's Northeast Corridor. Within a few years, Conrail would pull the plug on the electrics and within a few more years,
Amtrak would pull the plug on Conrail freight on the Corridor. That lead motor is now restored and living in Harrisburg in full Pennsylvania colors.
Early morning on a lake in Southeast Kansas. I didn't have my ND filter so I went down real early in low light to maximize my exposure. The waves were moving decent and it allowed me to get a little bit of that smoky, smooth look. For two months now we've had true white freezing snowy winter like never before since we moved to the south of Jutland. And I love it so! Makes me happy every morning when I wake up to the awsome light and hurry outside to feed the birds before putting on my skies for a trip across the hills.
