Today please rock me softly, because it is the day after Xday. On Wednesday this week I realized an "old" wish. Since month I'm training for a personal marathon around the Lake Constance in one day. And so I did. I started at 5 o'clock in the morning and finished the marathon at 8 o'clock in the evening. I made some breaks for short relaxing, photographing, eating and drinking. I did not want to finish the marathon in a special time. I only wanted to drive the 229 km in one day. And this was what I did. Local hero for myself.
So we all know now that "Cowboys ride harder" but please kill me softly with your smile after this really hard marathon. I was so tired after the marathon...;) Today I started the day with biking over the hill to buy fresh milk and eggs from the farmer. Also a really long and hard tour of 10 km...;)

I'm fascinated from Thailand again and again. The Thai people, the street food, the landscape and the sea. I will travel there two weeks again this year. Lucky me.
Next year I will have a long adventure-holiday in Thailand for 6 weeks. The ticket is right in front of me on the table. I could jump around with happiness. But I have to be careful. I've already got 3 bumps on my head this week from happily jumping around. Happiness can hurt, both internally and externally.

The biggest challenge of this photo was the editing because I had a hundert of dirt points on my viewer in the Sony A7R2. So I had to run over the photo one hundred times and more. Tap... tap... tap...
My camera and lenses were full of dust and dirt after my Thailand adventure. Perhaps I will contact a professional cleaning service from Sony. On Koh Samui there is every time a lot of dust in the air, where ever you are. But camera and lenses are not more than tools, they stay alive or not. Photographic life is raw...;)

Good morning dear Flickr friends,
when I say "Give me Five" I mostly mean it in the sense of give me five minutes for the editing of a photo. I never have more than 5 minutes for an editing, otherwise it was a shit shot...;) I try to compose and to catch the atmosphere, when I have my camera in my hands, not later.
My Thailand experiences are no elitist holiday experiences. I prefer to stay in simple houses, never eat in tourists restaurants, no European food, no pool, often no room service but a maximum of life quality and communication. No big luggage, only what I can carry in my hands...;) I found it out in the last years. Less is more!

The damp meadows near the village of Gerden near Winsen/Luhe have been a popular gathering place for storks in recent days. Sometimes 30 storks come together.
Die feuchten Wiesen in der Nähe des Dorfes Gerden bei Winsen/Luhe waren in den letzten Tagen ein beliebter Sammelplatz für Störche. Mitunter kommen dort ca.30 Störche zusammen.

Chapter One: Build your self an early spring
You need:
- a winter (real)
- a bit snow (real or you need a snowman ahhh snowgun)
- sky: take a hardware filter graduated 50% orange (not required if you live next to a nuclear power plant)
- a lake (you can try it with your bathtub and some flowers)
- a head full of nonsense (a must have)
- a diving tower
- a rubber duck (not necessarily required)
You have:
- the snout so full of winter
You have symptoms:
- physical ailments, pain, depressions or a tendency to higher nonsense (are all very helpful) but the vet can't help you
- in despair you try to sniff the white flakes through the nose, to take it away
- you talk all the time with yourself and you love word games with the words sea, sun, island, relaxing...

Good morning dear Flickr-friends of photography,
with the "Crossings"- Series I would like to show you some new photographic inspirations while my paddling tours on the big Lake Constance. I was located the last weeks at Bregenz in Austria. The mountains in the back, the lake in front of my tent. Most of the time I spent on the water with kayak or SUP very early in the morning or over the day. The upper lake, we call it "Obersee" has a big expanse and a complete other dynamic as the under lake ("Untersee") at my home. Sometime I was fighting with big waves at 6 a.m. under a cloudy sky when I cross the lake to Lindau in Bavaria. In the evening sometimes we had a flat surface with wonderful reflections and silky effects. A special were always the night trips with full eliminated boats like Gondolas in Venice. Granted: Sometimes it was a bit difficult to find home because of the darkness at the shore. But... I always found the way back to my basic station with a light in my heart...;)

I think the song "Smoke on the water" is better known, as the date of birth of the own mother...;)
I like especially the variations of Classic, Fusion, Funk, Latin and Reggae. We also played it in the band, when we had some alcohol in the near...;) My best heard version was on a concert of the Jazzrockband Steps Ahead in Zürich with Mike Manieri on the vibraphone and Robben Ford on guitar. It was the last song of the concert and we all had pretty fine excessive fun.

Guten Abend liebe Flickr-Freunde,
bevor die Nacht anbricht habe ich noch einen Sonnenuntergang von einer meiner letzten Kajak-Touren für Euch. Ich stelle immer wieder fest, dass jeder Sonnenuntergang anders ist. Mal ist das Wasser ruhig und es gibt herrliche Reflektionen der Wolken. Dann wieder formen kleine sanfte Wellen leuchtende Kissen, die das restliche Sonnenlicht und den Himmel reflektieren. Der Obersee hat im Vergleich zum Untersee, an dem ich lebe, eine ganz andere Dynamik. Dies wirkt sich auch auf das Paddeln und auf meine Fotografie aus. In die Bregenzer Bucht habe ich mich schon vor Jahren verliebt und bin hier inzwischen so oft wie möglich. Nun hatte ich die Gelegenheit zwei Wochen kreuz und quer jeden Winkel des Dreiländerecks zwischen Österreich, der Schweiz und Deutschland vom Wasser aus zu erkunden. Und das Schönste war immer noch das Wasser selbst. Ich liebe die Atmosphäre abends alleine auf dem Bodensee zu sein.
