I too often forget that people across the politcal spectrum often give to common causes. If only that overlap of translucent hearts would be enough for redemption, for healing, for a solidification.
This photo is of a gemstone shaped heart back lit with a pen light on white acrylic giving the blue glaring line, the contrasting colors and the cross shape.
“I will be generous with my love today. I will sprinkle compliments and uplifting words everywhere I go. I will do this knowing that my words are like seeds and when they fall on fertile soil, a reflection of those seeds will grow into something greater.”
— Steve Maraboli
Merci beaucoup Lawrence for inviting me to participate in this and inspiring this image.
Every year the arrival of spring brings with it so many beautiful things: renewal, colors, tenderness, and warmth. I wish you all to feel those things deeply in you...

"Generosity is giving more than you can, and pride is taking less than you need." - Kahlil Gibran.
I want thank you all for your kind support and in particular a couple of friends who have given me some very generous gifts. I am deeply humbled and so grateful for your friendship and support although I don't feel worthy. Hope all of you enjoy the rest of your week.
So many designers have been generous in giving such lovely group gifts lately....Hisa has done just that as well with a beautiful new English Garden Shed...equipped with roses and bushes so you can pretty much set it down and be done! Be sure to wear your group tag to grab the gift..I've paired it with La maisonette D'Aurora by Hisa as well so you can see how perfectly they fit together...Pictured:

Keep shining so bright, my friends!
How generous you are, Earth,
and how strong is your yearning for your children
lost between that which they have attained
and that which they could not obtain.
We clamor and you smile; we flit but you stay!
We extract your elements to make cannons and bombs,
but out of our elements you create lilies and roses.

Richard Tatti generously provided some NEF files to download nd follow along with his edit in a recent YouTube video: www.nightscapeimages.com.au/workshops---online.html
With travel restrictions in place (and thunderstorms anyway) I thought I would have a go. I set out with the intention of creating a different shot to Richard rather than trying to re-create it, which is not to say I don't like his original! In fact I probably would not normally edit this shot in the same way if it were mine! Richard used a Nikon Z6 and 20mm f/1.8 S lens, 9 sky shots and 3 light painted foreground shots. I used Sequator to stack the sky images (as per the video) and Photoshop to combine the result with 2 of the 3 foreground light painted shots.

Rootzz 4worldpeace! generously allowed me access to his photostream to play with a new plug-in called Fractalius. Thank you so much; it was lots of fun! I'm posting 3 of his photos [with his permission] this morning. A beautiful surprise appeared when I played with this one; a cat face in the wings above the butterfly's back. :-)

A warming up session of the fire play at Brighton seafront. The person at the forefront is very experience in this circus skills.
I rarely do night photography. This is my second attempt using a 35mm lens. As you can see the photo is very noisy as I pushed the ISO to the maximum capacity my crop sensor camera can handle. Need a full frame, anybody feels generous ? 😉

Gastown is the original settlement that became the core of the creation of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Currently, it is a national historic site and a neighbourhood in the northwest end of Downtown Eastside, adjacent to Downtown Vancouver.
World's first steam powered clock
Historic Gastown
Vancouver, British Columbia
Canada
The insides of this clock is where the magic begins....
Built in 1977. Raymond Saunders' first steam clock was built in 1977 to solve the issue of a steam vent in a popular sidewalk for the renovated Gastown district of Vancouver. Owned by the City of Vancouver, BC Canada
The steam clock's plaque reads:
THE GASTOWN STEAM CLOCK
Designed and built by
Raymond L. Saunders
Horologist
The world's first steam powered clock has been created for the enjoyment of everyone. The live steam winds the weights and blows the whistles. Every 4.5 minutes one steel weight will travel by steam power to the top of the clock. The gravity driven "falling ball" drive was 'engineered' by Douglas L. Smith. Each quarter hour the clock will sound the Westminster Chimes. The large whistle will sound once on the hour. The steam is supplied by the underground system of Central Heat Distributor's Limited. The component parts cost $42,000 and the clock weighs over two tons.
A few years ago the clock was refit and is not entirely steam powered. It also has three small electric motors to help operate two internal fans, one of which blows the steam out the top, and another that controls the valves that play the tunes on the five steam whistles mounted atop the clock case.
The large central whistle, which was taken off the CPR steam tug Naramata, counts off the full hours while the four auxiliary whistles chime the Westminster Quarters every quarter hour. The number of chimes matches the number of quarter hours that have passed.

These gorgeous handmade ornaments were given me by a generous, grand and artistic friend! Though there are 4 photos, two of them are a view of the same ornament. These three glorious creations are on the Christmas tree at Riversong, our Alabama home on the Elk River. The other three are on the Christmas tree at Lagniappe, our home in New Orleans! I couldn't not bear to leave all in New Orleans, and I expect the other three will be coming back here to reside on the big tree for the rest of the holidays! But OH! How we are enjoying them on each tree! Such sparkle to catch the eye, and remind us of those we love!

The Mid-Hudson Bridge, built as a double line railroad bridge in 1899 remained in service until a fire put it out of commission in 1974. It sat unused until the state of New York turned it into a state park and is now known as the Walkway Over the Hudson, 1.28 miles in length and 160 ft. over the Hudson River, it connects the Dutchess and Hudson Valley Rail Trail system.
Pano image made with 13 vertical images stitched together. I've found that it's best to be generous with overlap on bridges so they stitch together without issue.

After the generous snowfalls last weekend due to the visit of the low pressure system named Monica, the Sierra de Guadarrama looked beautiful on a very sunny day.
This is the view from Madrid, with La Moraleja in the foreground.
The straight line distance from this location to the mountains is approximately 27 miles (44 km).
With temperatures rising over the past few days, much of the snow has already melted, a real boon for our reservoirs, which are currently above 84 percent capacity.
