swirl and twirl and spin around
groups will gather in my town
like geese or birds they will flock together
in rain and wind and sunny weather
to pronounce their beliefs so very loudly
no care is taken not even if it's not soundly
rational or appropriate
makes no matter
makes no difference
as long as it's interference
with people going by and living for today
they don't care what they say,
but in the end it doesn't matter
they are as mad as the hatter
because in the end
money talks loud and clear
they may cheer and cheer and jeer
but money talks while their walks
for equal rights and all that might
they may be right but money talks and bullshit walks!!!!!!
What I enjoyed in this moment was how the people stepped back in time for a few hours to experience a gathering of people with very little modern technology in sight. The weather was like a traditional one with huge flakes of snow coming down. There was a warm fire to keep us cozy while waiting for a ride on the horse drawn sleigh. But mainly I saw people engaged with each other or watching the activities going on around them. However you celebrate the holiday season, I hope you engage with people around you in real time and leave those "devices" only for capturing the good times around you in photographs!
Where there is gathering, there is separation; where there is union, there is separation. Meeting is fate, and going our separate ways is inevitable.
