The Roques de Garcia are probably the most visited natural attraction on the Canarian Island of Tenerife. They can be easily reached by car or bus - so whole busloads of people will visit them. There is a parking lot nearby and you most certainly will find that crowded on any day you'll stay there. Great views of the Cañadas del Teide - the great plain of Llano de Ucanca - and of Pico Teide lure thousands of visitors. Each and every one of them will have taken the picture you see on top of this section: Roque Chinchado (a.k.a. God's finger) in front of mighty Pico Teide, Spain's highest mountain.

I thought about You my dear flickr friends and went swimming with my camera yesterday... (((; only got the strap wet though while framing Mount Garcia (across the Lake) from from the inside of the pool at the Racket Club in San Juan Cosala.
I had the whole pool for myself again, but TOMORROW... Semana Santa (Easter Week) is starting here, and this place... and the whole Riviera of Lago de Chapala will be humming with crowds visiting from the big city of Guadalajara!!! - And Ajijic, the colorful village where I live, will have it's famous Passion Play on Good Friday in the Atrium of the church.
You might have seen my favorite mounain, Mount Garcia in many of my shots taken from an angle 8 km east from here, where i live.
