I have a few friends who think I have a ton of cell phones. Well not so anymore. Here you can see three of my spare phones. I do have a LG flip phone in my work bag as a spare in case of I run out of battery on my main phone. And some of you may remember I have the huge Motorola Select 2000e (brick phone) -- its hidden away in the back of this drawer.
My lovely Nokia 7370... it is sad how much you can get attached to a phone, i'm such a marketing victim. I keep her(!) safe in her beautifull pouch that was included in the package.
The mantelpiece thermometer is a gadget that, well, displays temperature.
The device uses a Picaxe micro as its main processor and the display is a backlit 2 line LCD display. The mode switches are also lit with LEDs.
It has two modes of operation:
• Display temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius in the form “The temperature is 25oF”
• Display the temperature in words i.e. “Its warm is here” or “It’s BLOODY HOT in here”. There are about 7 different phrases that change in 5 degree increments.
